I am charged for classes that i did not…

I am charged for classes that i did not have. When reaching out to the team, the respond was not only slow but it felt we keep circulating with no actionable outcome for Varsity to take charge and refund the amount they have charged me. I am terribly dissapointed. I live on 12 hour difference time zone and they said to have tried calling me. My request is simple, to refund money that is taken for no basis.

poor quality tutors, misleading sales

They say they have 100% customer satisfaction guarantee, but this is FALSE. Their sales is misleading and fraudulent. We were unsatisfied with their service and requested a refund, they make excuses before issuing denial. avoid

We have used Varsity tutors for years…

We have used Varsity tutors for years with my 3 kids. The private tutors for the elementary grades and the current geometry tutor for my son have all been excellent. We also enjoy the group classes for learning and fun. I even used it to learn Italian for a trip. It's a very good value for the amount of learning we use it for.

They took our money and did not deliver

We were sold a guaranteed solution for our college freshman who was struggling with her psychology class. We were told by their sales person that they were capable of finding a qualified tutor quickly. They matched her with a nurse who has a degree from an online school that we never heard of. We said we need someone who has actually studied psychology, and they came back with a recent college grad who took one intro to psychology class. We saw where this was going and cancelled in writing by email and text and followed by phone before using any service. They have charged us $299 for three consecutive months. Varsity Tutors is clearly a business that invests more in sales than service. Check other reviews before you commit. They want your money first and are unfortunately less concerned about your results.

The worst experience with a tutoring…

The worst experience with a tutoring organization. Please do not use Varsity Tutors. First, they called me, because I went to their website made an account but didn't purchase anything. I was falsely led to believe that they could find me help. It took almost over a month to get help, I was still being charged. They credited me "free tutoring sessions", which were useless. Two of the customer service representatives said they would call me back, they never did. One representative, said that he would stop the charges on my credit card, he lied and didn't follow through with what he had promised. I was charged 318.00 CAD. I asked for a refund, as I had no use for the service, and felt lied to. I received $224.00 CAD of my money back (for a service I did not use). If you do use Varsity Tutors, get everything in writing, and never trust what a customer service representative tells you.

This company have a good teachers

This company have a good teachers, but in case if online not working for your kid and you have more than one kid enrolled in this, they are not cancel that kid hours but are adding to other one, but the most frustrating is they not told you when you do the cancellation for that one kid and in final is happening you pay for 8 hours of tuition but are used only 4. Is a expensive tips I think for them.

Red Flags

The policies in place seem like they are not supportive of the client but instead focus on extracting money. I was not at fault for having a tutor who quit--yet nobody reached out to ask me if I wanted to continue services. Even after trying to cancel, the service was only temporarily paused with no follow up. Again, a service that prides itself on supporting its clients should have followed up on the fact I was getting charged WITH NO services provided. Also another red flag is that there are no refunds--how do you charge someone, not reach out that you are charging them, and then tell them you can't refund services. Seems very suspicious.
