I am a tutor for Varsity Tutors. Varsity Tutors offers a tutoring platform, instant chat options, VT schools options, private tutoring options, 2x a week payment. The pay is not great, and there are sometimes glitches in the system. Most of the annoyances are due to the schools and/or parents for not informing a tutor of the current curriculum the student is studying. Varsity Tutors has also been accused of not treating tutors very well--such as with double bookings by mistake, and incorrect times posted to schedules, low pay. I tutor several subjects including study skills and visualization skills. Like many remote companies, they often hire more people than they need, and so there are less opportunities. There was no work during the summer. I try to make a full-time schedule, but so far, I have not been able to do so. I am semi-retired, and I am glad to be able to online tutor from home.
