I signed my adult son up for 1 month of tutoring for help to pass standardized EMT registry. This included 4 hrs of live tutor sessions. The tutor proceeded to schedule many hours of tutoring and I received a credit card charge of $1660.50. My son did not realize this was costing me that much money. Also, I signed up for 1 month of tutoring and when I called Varsity to ask about the exorbitant charge, I was informed they had also put me on a monthly plan. This is DECEPTIVE PRACTICE. The tutor should be aware of what the client has paid for and not go beyond that. I have never used a tutoring service in the past and certainly will never use one again in the future. RIP OFF!!!!

Do not waste your money and more importantly your child's opportunity to prepare and have legit tutoring help. I have have been bounced to three different tutors and was only able to schedule one session in four weeks all the while the clock was ticking towards my daughter's SAT. I've spent more time by far trying to schedule sessions than my child has received in actual instruction.

The tutoring is being driven by me. After giving the tutor some of my expectations and my limited understanding, how do I know to ask the questions about related topics I don't know to ask?

In November it will be one year that I have been learning Vietnamese. It was easy to sign up for classes, get a teacher and pay safely via PayPal. I'm blessed to have gotten a teacher who works well with me from the very beginning. I have learned hundreds of Vietnamese words, simple sentences and sentence-structure. I have learned how to behave within the Vietnamese culture of status and respect. I hope this short review helps.

If zero was an option then that is what I would give. These people will rob you and then not refund your money. My daughter scored worse after being tutored by them. Worse test scores and $600 gone!

My son had a great session with his tutor. He felt comfortable to share his struggles and listened well to the instruction. It is good to know that he has support with Pre Calculus this semester and will not have to struggle.
