Did not want to give them half a star!!! So 3 years ago I stupidly decided to go through them for a phone a fridge and a TV!! Paid the phone off first even though they let me go 3 months over contract without making an offer. I had to contact them!! Paid my $1 buy offer and they kept the 3 months in credit payments. Next the tv goes black and doesn’t turn back on, I call them and guess what? They can’t supply me with a new one as per contract!! Can’t fix it and then I find out it’s really common in that tv to just stop working!! They then want me to sign up on a new contract after paying for that one for two years to get a new tv. No was my answer so I’ve spent 2 years paying off a tv that doesn’t work. 🤬 Now comes the fridge, finished the contract 14th of October haven’t had an offer sent to me and I’ve stopped paying!! I’m sick of them taking my money for the crapest service EVER!! I do however get an email telling me that I owe them $50 and that even though the contract has ended I do not own the fridge But did not mention anything about an offer? Yet they get their hounds to chase you all day everyday from THORN. I did speak to the woman eventually and told her I’m at the end of my contract and I was then told to keep an eye out for my letter of offer? 2 weeks later and still no letter of offer!! They are super friendly signing you up, dragging you into their web.. I’ve been in credit on my account for almost 3 years except the last 2 months and guess what? That’s exactly when the horror started!! EVIL!!! Is the best way to describe the atrocious turn they take once you come to the end of contract or if you need a replacement!!! They have taken my money for 3 years and they are more than happy to keep taking it until you wake up!! Parasites are kinder!! They will never get another cent from me and I could care less how much they chuck a tantrum and use their vicious threats!!! Decency goes a long way the quicker this company understands that the better off they will be!! Already duped me out of a tv won’t be doing it again for a fridge sorry!! It’s just not going to happen!! Minus stars would have been my preferred rating but unfortunately that’s not an option!! PLEASE DONT PUT YOURSELF THROUGH IT..... 🤦🏼♀️
End of contract misleading
I didn’t have any issue complying with my RR contract after renting a TV and a laptop back in 2015. However, I recently received an offer to purchase my laptop which caused me to double check my contract. My lease ended back in January 2019 and I was not contacted by RR to inform me so they continued to charge me for another full year because I simply wasn’t aware my time was up. The contract doesn’t specify wether it’s on me or RR to end the contract however it does state that Radio Rentals would contact me prior to my contract ending to make an offer of purchase. If they had done this then I would have known the contract was ending and I would have made enquiries closer to that date. Further, my TV lease ended in November 2019. It’s contract specifically states that I will pay the $1 buy out amount on the final day of my contract (date included on contract), yet again no contact and they continued to charge me. I ceased making payments in January and have been in yoyo contact with them since. The lady I speak to is nice but she can’t help and always says the manager will call- 3 months later and many phone calls but still I haven’t heard from him. Now I have RR recoveries calling me because arrears are building while I’m waiting for them to address this. The recoveries people are extremely rude and as a result I hung up on the last person. If I had known this would happen when I received an email from Maurice Blackburn about the class action against them I definitely would have joined them.
Where’s the loyalty after nearly 20 years
After nearly 20 years of being a great customer with purchasing numerous of items over this time without one,yes that’s right NO MISSED PAYMENTS WHAT SO EVER.,over the 19 years. I went to update my phone only to be declined ???? All my details are the same no changes to my personal income, expenses nothing. Apparently I’m a V.I.P customer and get offers in on a daily occurrence,in credit nearly $400 and in the time with them have always been in credit for large amounts of money. With no explanation what so ever I was declined a $24 a week phone,I have just finished paying off a $48 a week contract for 2 phones. Were is the loyalty to us great customers that pay without any complaints,never hearing boo from us. I was asked if I wanted to put my name down for the class action (sorry I didn’t now) where I could legally stop paying my contact out 2+ years ago without and consequences to me,but no I signed up so I have to keep paying for my items. Now I’m told I have to wait up to 6 weeks to be refunded “My Money”because I’m not a Active customer anymore!!!! And they keep my credit in case I want to return!!!! YOU DECLINED MY NEW CONTACT!!! 1/2a star. I needed a new phone. I'm paying cheaper rent and bills living is cheaper. After they made me jump through hoops. Give them what they wanted. Took them week get back to me day no. After talking to werribe vicstore today I got 2 different answers. Well. After all bull chit. They put me through. After my current contract is up. I'm done with radio rentals. Stay away

My review/complaint is in regard to Radio Rentals Nerang Qld. Staff are great at customer service UNTIL something goes wrong with the product. I purchased an Apple laptop for my daughter specifically for school- year 11/12. It has lasted a mere 10 months then broke down. Took it back into store 3 weeks ago. Told that it would be sent to service/repair department. Specifically stated to manager that my daughter needed working computer back by time she started school in 2020. She went to school today but no computer. I rang back on Sat 25 Jan & asked for a replacement until Radio Rentals sorted out the original laptop. Was told couldn’t do that. I then said I was still paying for a laptop that wasn’t working. Was told it was most likely that payments had been put on hold. Load of crap - I received letter from Centrelink outlining my deductions - they still include the laptop. Was patronised when told another customer waited 6 weeks for her computer problem to be resolved. Let me tell Radio Rentals that I don’t care about other customers & no staff member should be discussing another customer’s details with me. Radio Rentals have major faults with administration & repair of faulty products. I was told I would be contacted via phone to update me on progress - no phone calls because nothing is being done to rectify the problem. I have had to make all the calls myself. This is after purchased an air conditioning unit on 2 months rent free - load of crap. They were charging me from date of delivery until I went into Nerang office & complained. So what are Radio Rentals going to do about my daughter who is REQUIRED to bring her own device to school but now doesn’t have one because Radio Rentals service/repairs department aren’t doing their job & I am still paying for it? Will I get a credit/refund/replacement laptop? I doubt it. So as I told the manager - going straight to a lawyer- maybe Maurice Blackburn. They have already settled a massive payout for customers who have been ripped off by Radio Rentals. When a customer pays incredibly high fees for essential items, one would think that senior management would ensure essential services such as administration & repairs could provide some level of service - or should I say, no service at all. Off to the lawyer now as do not expect even a courtesy call to advise me whether they have even looked at the computer. Absolutely disgusted!!
Gave wrong information about tvs
At mt druitt store I was told that the hitachi smart tv i rented could go on the internet the same as a computer and that was misleading but didn't know so i got it on a 3 year plan now we have a crap TV that we neither wanted nor are happy with so really I wouldn't give radio rentals the time of day let alone a star

Not even worth 1 star!!!!! Just went into radio rentals on main north road to buy one of the last iphones. The manager ( didnt have a name tag)was absolutley hopeless. He had no interest in helping us, was too busy standing around talking and laughing with other employees. Both iphones had no headphones or power charger he said he would order them in. We asked to place a phone on hold. But just keep getting blank expressions. He then got somone else to serve us, that had no answers for us either. This was the absolute worst experience i have ever had in my life. So instead of selling a phone tonight you lost a sale. I get it, you dont care as your closing down, but seriously we are still customers wanting to buy a product and you are still being paid to do a job!! Seriously, the worst customer service, there was no interest in selling anything and there was no friendly smile, a hello, nothing. It all seemed way to hard and we walked out so angry and annoyed, when we should have left with a phone or atleast with it on hold until they could find out when the parts would arrive. I hope i never walk into another shop and see that manger, matthew or Michael??, because i will just walk straight out. Poor/disgusting customer service. Everytime my partner and i have walked out of Radio Rental we have purchased goods. I am a gold memeber always paid straight out or if renting paid earlier then needed to. If you were staying open and it was business as usual , i would never walk back into this shop again.
