Highly recommended.

Liked the website, easy to look at options and make choices. Delivery chargeable but next day is great. After sales service dealing with queries was good. I would certainly recommend Downlights Direct.

Quality products, exceptional support!

I purchased 6 lights from Downlights Direct. They were as descibed, bright, and used quality components. Unfortunately, 1 of the lights failed after 3 months. I contacted their support via the website and a new lamp was dispatched without any hesitation! Now this is customer service! Thank you for handling my call, Oliver! : )

I used DownLights Direct to order some LED lighting strips, drivers and connectors for a new kitchen install after having issues with products from another company. I thought the Down Light Direct products looked really good quality from the description and pictures on the website and found the supporting information, such as which drivers can power the various LED type/lengths etc, incredibly useful. All items came really quick as they were all in stock at the time of ordering. I can see other reviews where people are waiting for stock but I feel the website is quite clear on wait times. I installed all the items as planned and they all work incredibly well. Overall I was pleased. A few months later I decided to slightly extend my run of LED's but was struggling to figure out how to do it. I contacted customer support and found Lewis very informative and accommodating and he (unforntately for him!) sent me loads of emails back on forth explaining things to me which was hugely appreciated. Ended up with a slightly custom order which Lewis pulled together for me, I'm not sure I'd have figured it all out on my own being a DIY'er and not a pro. I saw other reviews saying slow replies to customer service, I was generally getting replies in 12 hours which seems fair and suited me. As mentioned, the help I did get from customer service was excellent. I appreciated the service so much I started hunting around for other areas I can install LED's :D I don't generally leave reviews but positive experience with DLD left me wanting to give something back for their efforts. Overall I would recommend and definitely use again, thanks!

Avoid this company

Avoid this company! Still waiting for my order to be delivered, website and email says 1-2 working days delivery. It’s now been 8 days and still nothing! Sent multiple emails…. No reply.

OK, but need to improve on stock accuracy

If time is of the essence, make sure you call them to check stock before ordering. I ordered two parts which appeared to be in stock but turned out not to be after I chased up a week later. The chap who took the call was very helpful and sorted out an alternative, but slightly miffed that they weren't more proactive in notifying me as we're working to a deadline and lost 5 days.

10 week delay but refused to part ship those in stock

I understand delivery delays, it happens. However that's not the issue. Initially out of an order of 3 stock items one was out of stock, the main part of the order (10 units). I wait 2 weeks for those to come back in stock meanwhile the other items go out of stock with a delay of a further 2 months. Downlights Direct refuse to part ship those items that are now in stock! This is a vicious circle. Meanwhile I'm left high and dry mid way through a job.

Followed up late delivery to find they had missed my order out of processing. I got a lame apology and no offer to expedite on an overnight courier which means not here for the weekend.
