My fiber has been down since Wednesday…

My fiber has been down since Wednesday 14 June 2023 @ 10am and has been since down since. I have been calling in and told someone will look into it. I have spoken to 10 different people at Clear Fibre and my issue is still not resolved. I work remotely and have WIFI so I can work which I cannot do. I am told my query is sent to technical and still no one is looking into it. This service is really pathetic.

We live in Cardiff Bay, our Internet connection has been down for almost 3 days. We called Clear fibre numerous times. They say that they will check and come back to us but nothing is happening. We work from home. This is totally unacceptable. Really bad service.

Unreliable Internet provider. Cannot recommend

Internet has gone down twice since we have moved in. First time, we lost connection for 3 days. 2nd time and currently, it went down without warning. Support team called multiple times, they take your details to pass to the technical support who have not called back nor provided an update. Possibly the most unreliable Internet provider I've ever used.

Good overall, replace their router though

Installation was fast and easy plus service has been stable and reliable so far. What more can you really ask for? A couple of downsides though: 1) The router you get for free is pretty much useless - slow LAN and extra slow WiFi, so do yourself a favor and replace it immediately (any brand/make should work - you get an internal IPv4 over DHCP, no MAC cloning needed). 2) There is no IPv6 whatsoever and your public IPv4 is shared with many, so don't expect to do any kind of tradional port forwarding. 3) The Gigabit plan can't actually achieve full Gigabit speeds as the Fibre box you connect your router or PC to only has a Gigabit ethernet port. Best case I have seen is around 935 Mbit/s as there is always some overhead.

Internet down; they won't do anything.

Internet down for 2 days, they won't do anything as they only work on weekedays. So gonna need to wait another 2 days (Monday bank hol) just to get someone look into the problem. If you use broadband for work, avoid this company.

Over 2 days to activate service?!

Just moved, set up an account all OK but service still hasn’t been activated in over 2 days. Contacted support team twice who will “pass my request to a team” and can’t provide an estimate as to when my internet will be activated! So annoying, if you’re going to have a contact centre at least make sure that they can help with this issue. Pretty critical that we need the internet otherwise we can’t work from home!

Better late than never

The company did everything quickly and efficiently, after being late by 3.5 months. While the delay is not fully their fault, they should not have advertised an unachievable start date, or communicated more about the delays.

The website confirmed i would not be billed just yet (good, considering i had only just paid the bill for Telcom) and yet i was billed the same day. If i had known this i would not have registered until 6th March.
