Never received our fruit basket

Beautiful home , perfect for bringing families together for the weekend . Big Bear Cool Cabins made the process quick and easy and are much more accommodating than most other booking websites .

Unfortunately, Cool Cabins was a major let down. In the last year I have booked cabins/condos in Lake Tahoe, Mammoth and twice in Big Bear. This second time was a disaster. This company is both unprofessional amd disorganized as the cabins are not inspected prior to your visit leaving you to have to waist time getting assistance in the midst of your vacation. I will list issues: no wifi-ever spent numerous hours waiting to no avail, that also meant no access to TV. Additionally both patios were filthy and unable to actually occupy with having been wiped down chairs/tables- it’s summer this area is highly used given the beautiful weather/grill/jacuzzi. The pool key was not accessible and at no point was told I had to pick up key at main office which was at the entrance of big bear away from actual location of cabin. That being said never have I ever had so many disappointments in a trip. I will however say that snow summit town homes was so very helpful and would book with them in a heart beat! Cool cabins is an absolute NO.

Everything was generally good except a few things. We arrived late at night and the cabin was blazing hot. Be aware nobody comes before you to get it ready. We had to locate fans and set them up in windows and throughout the house and sweated the whole first night. The decks and any furniture are always very dirty upon arrival and there’s really no way to clean them. No hose, no bucket, no rags. So now we bring our own rug and furniture. One smoke detector was chirping when we arrived and we called to have the battery changed. They came out at night within a reasonable time. A couple days later another one was chirping. Again we called and someone came out. We asked this time if since we already had two with dead batteries, would he please change the others? I said he didn’t speak English and left. The master bedroom had a TV but no cable box, Roku, internet, etc, no way to watch anything. All the cords were hanging there like previous solutions had been removed. On the 3rd day we asked if there was a way to watch TV and they said since we are staying 11 days and we’re still only at the beginning of our stay they would come install Roku, which they promptly did. We’ve rented through Cool Cabins a few times and will continue to do so. It takes a few times to understand the limitations so you can be prepared.

I loved the cabin. It was so comfortable. It had everything that we needed. And it was very cute!!

The A/C doesn’t work

Game room at Papa Bear’s hideout was a hit with the grandkids. Cool Cabins was very responsive when we needed a fan for the bedroom. Jacuzzi was a treat for all of us.

It was a great cabin and awesome time. The only thing that was disappointing was we had to clean out water balloon scraps out of the jacuzzi from the previous renters. There was also water balloon scraps all over the backyard
