Winstone boots no longer the same

Winstone boots no longer the same I have worn Cotswold Winstone boots for many years, bought at a local little shop. When I got home with the latest pair I discovered that they only have 5 set of eyelets rather than 6, and it makes a significant difference to the fit, as these boots are worn all day, every day, for work. I checked the website to see whether the model had changed, but sure enough it still shows the boot with six sets of eyelets. Customer service tells me I need to take them back to the little shop that I bought them from, who will surely take a £ hit. I explained that I do not expect them to inspect every box of shoes that comes in the shop and compare them to the website. The customer service agent didn't know what these shoes should look like, nor did she know what was on her own website. I advised that I would be contacting Trading Standards because the boots are not as shown on the website. The company are completely unconcerned that they have cheapened their shoes, left their advertising material the same, and are not prepared to take it any further. I would add that the boots are also a few millimeters shorter another cost savings for them. I have sent them photos even. They don't care. EDIT UPDATE: The company have been in touch and kindly replaced the boots with a different model.

These wellies made claims that are…

These wellies made claims that are completely untrue and reading other reviews l know I'm right! I bought these wellies 6 moths ago, they have been returned because they have disintegrated on the side in two places, they said l caused the damage myself! Scammers! They are probably made for £1 on sone far iffy country then sold at a vastly inflated price! It's criminal. I wish l had read these reviews before being ripped off! I bought YOUR wellies from Outdoor GB Ltd! They were returned directly to Cotswolds who then determine that l had caused the damage myself! Are you saying that the quality of products that you supply to third parties are inferior to the products you sell directly?? 51% of people purchasing your products have had the same problem as myself, l suggest you look at your supplier, not the person who was robbed of nearly £40 for your substandard products!

Avoid

Avoid - I recently returned a pair of I’ll fitting wellington boots and heard nothing from the company re a refund .. I emailed and waited a week for a response which was that they had not received my return and to take it up with the post office . I have proof of postage and it seems that unless someone signed for it this is the wriggle out of refining my £60 .. if you buy from here I suggest even though it costs more ( I paid £6.99) to return wellies you pay for tracked delivery as all I ca. hope for now is &20 from the post office ..

Cotswold Golf shoes poor quality.

I have worn Cotswold golf shoes for a long time as they suit the width of my feet. The left shoe of the pair I have now, despite not being worn a lot, came away at the heel/sole when out on the golf course (which was inconvenient to say the least). This is unusual as I have loved their golf shoes up to this point. I sent comprehensive photos of the problem AND showing that the shoes are in vg condition still but they have said as they were not purchased on-line from them they would not do anything to fix the problem. I do not have the old receipt so cannot take the matter up with the retailer. No matter how old the shoes are the heel/sole should not detach from the upper. Certainly not on a pair of shoes that no matter how old (3 yrs?) have hardly been worn as I only play golf now at reunions. Very disappointed in the response from Cotswold. They apparently take no pride in their product or customer care.

Down at heel

Cotswold Compass wellingtons proved a complete waste of money. Sole of one developed a hole after only about 40 uses and now all I get is a wet foot. Really not good enough when the boots were around £100. Cotswold should be ashamed - instead of which, when I emailed customer services, I got no sympathy and a certain arrogance. They would do nothing for me because they were just over a year old. May pursue this under the Consumer Right Act...but should I really have to?! Hang your head in shame Cotswold.
