Leaking cotswold leather boots.…
I bought a pair of cotswold leather boots 2 years ago. Water comes into the boots via the seam at the front now and my feet were completely soaking after my walk today. Only thing to do is to bin them a try a better brand.
Went in store to purchase running shoes…
Went in store to purchase running shoes , they did not have style or the size I needed. Assistant said I can order them they will be with you in a couple of days, delivery actually took 8 days
Comfortable boots and brilliant service
Cotswold Ducklington Boots-these boots are extremely comfortable and nice and lightweight for my daughter as we do plenty of walking. The service we received from Cotswold Shoes was excellent and very personal too.
I bought a pair of ladies Cotswold…
I bought a pair of ladies Cotswold Abbeydale WATERPROOF walking boots. The first time I wore them in damp grass my feet were soaked. I took them back to Moles Country store where they refunded me without questioning but did not convince me that they would be making a complaint. Why can they continue getting away with describing them incorrectly?
Awful shoes
Awful shoes, poor quality. Costs £13 to return boots that clearly have a fault! Very upset with how the customer service agent spoke with me. You think you're getting a bargain but all you're doing is chucking your money down a drain. Hideous boots, poorly made and hideous hideous hideous customer service. I would avoid this scam of a company if i was you!
Quality deterioration and terrible customer service
I have been wearing Cotswold boots for about 2 years, they have always been so comfortable which is so important because I do a lot of walking. My 5th pair fell apart inside, not the outer sole, but the inside. I ended up walking on what is akin to a grid. This damaged and hurt my feet. I got another pair, within a week I could feel and see the grid again. I emailed them questioning the deterioration in quality and was told it was nothing to do with them, to take them back to where I bought them. Disgusting customer service!
Walking shoe sole failure
I bought a pair of Cotswolds walking shoes in November from a local shoe shop. By early January the soles had worn badly and were coming apart. The lockdown means that the shoe shop is closed so cannot return them. Cotswolds themselves have been no help.
Brown Quenington brogues
Brought a pair of Brown Quenington commando Brogue shoes size 9. The leather is good quality taking a little time to mould to my feet, but were never uncomfortable. The stitching is accurate and well done. The welted Goodyear commando sole is well stitched and very heavy, giving the shoe a real quality feel. Size wise I’d say they are a generous 9 allowing room for thick socks and in my case orthotics. I’ve Tried on Loakes at almost 3 times the price and whilst these aren’t quite the same quality, at the price they are an absolute bargain. Very very happy with them
Worst waterproof walking shoes ever
I'll buck the trend of the good reviews about this company. I was looking for a reasonable pair of waterproof walking shoes. They had a nice cosy sounding name, solid English, and they care about trees, a lot. What they don't do, are decent waterproof walking shoes, or customer service. I chose a pair of size 8 Stonesfield Chestnut shoes because they looked good unlike the trainer style shoes that most people buy - maybe I should have done the same. Firstly, the shoes are made in China, like just about everything else. That dispels the cosy English bit. Secondly, they are the worst fitting pair of shoes I have ever had. Too tight across the widest part of my foot and painfully so. That gets rid of the walking bit. Thirdly, I won't be testing the waterproof bit. These shoes are lethal in the wet. There is no wet grip at all. Something about the sole material and the tread makes them more like iceskates. The first bit of downhill pavement and I nearly went over. The same on wet manhole covers. I have never had such a dangerous pair of shoes. Cotswold aren't interested in telling me why. Oh, and the trees. Cotswold are obsessed with trees and what they are doing to save the planet. Not one mention of the shoes, how to look after them, how to stay upright in the wet. So my star rating is:- Comfort - zero Wet weather use - zero Customer service - zero Value - one star My old steel toecap safety shoes at half the price are ten times better, and a whole lot safer.
Cotswold shoes affordable quality product.
Cotswold shoes and boots are a top of the range product at an affordable price. A trusted brand with a good reputation. But beware shoe distributor Gardiner Footsure at Quedgely Gloucester who can be unkind to agency workers and be sure to be in a trade union if you take a zero hours contract with them,
