Level 3 Building Survey - Late but good
Dunham Hale did a Level 3 survey for us on a property we're in the process of purchasing, and unfortunately the review was delivered a day later than the 5-7 working day period they said they would send it in, but they did apologise for this. Once we got the report, it was detailed and descriptive throughout and did identify some potential issues we're grateful to know about, and are looking into more. 240046
First time buyers recommend a level 3 survey
As a first time buyer purchasing an Edwardian property I'm really glad that we used Dunham Hale for a level 3 survey. It was important to us that we found a surveyor that is competitively priced and well reviewed and DH ticked those boxes. The report was extensive but well structured and it's positioned us to renegotiation the sale price. Fred was great and we appreciated that he agreed to a call to discuss the findings in more detail. 240050

Extremely professional and efficient service. No hassle booking in a valuation. Also found them to be very helpful and answered all my queries. To top it of there costs were absolutely reasonable. Would definitely recommend them.
Terrible experience
Terrible experience. Report riddled with errors like number of bathrooms/bedrooms. Stated had spoken to owners etc when hadn’t. A call set up to discuss three times which they didn’t attend. When I tried to rearrange following these three occasions he gave me a phone number that was out of service and when I tried calling it three times on this day the line was dead. Finally he realised he had given me a phone no longer in service and agreed to call me that night. Made to feel like a burden throughout the call. When surveyor joined call finally he said he ‘couldn’t remember’ for any question I asked on simple things like- is there an extension. Asked me to send the questions on email so he could respond when looked into it- he never responded to this email. Have followed up on several occasions and have been ignored and each time. Formal complaint submitted and no response. I was dealing with one of biggest shareholders of the company so dread to think what any other staff would be like. I chose this as was one of more expensive companies and trusted they could deliver. Incredibly disappointing.
Level 3 RICS building report
Got recommended by a family member who used Dunham Hale Surveyors during their house purchase. Everything was done very quickly and efficiently. That was a really great experience for having Dunham Hale to perform Structural Inspection for us. Actually a Level 3 survey has been conducted by another surveyor and we have a concern which relates to historical building work after that. Beth, the Sales and Booking Manager really efficiency on not only arrange a timely inspection for us but also guidance which inspection we should apply after she understood our case. #231194
Unresponsive, adding unnecessary stress to purchase.
I was not impressed with the responsiveness of this company. The report arrived later than promised…I was given the surveyors number to chase it myself. Nonetheless, the report itself seemed detailed and comprehensive. However, the vendors challenged one of the findings. I texted the surveyor for his comments and have heard nothing back in over a month (admittedly, part of that over Christmas). I have also emailed the company twice seeking advice. In response to the first, I was told that the surveyor would contact me; he hasn’t. The second hasn’t even been acknowledged. I have not been impressed with the level of professionalism and customer care I have encountered since having, of course, paid up front. Not recommended.
