This is the 3rd pair of sunglasses I’ve ordered from frames direct. 4 if you include the one I exchanged. I was a little hesitant at first for fear that I would end up with a pair of imitation Oakley’s, but now, I have two pairs of Oakley’s and a pair of Ray Bands, and they all seem genuine and authentic. Order and delivery was pretty seamless. The one exchange was pretty seamless, but, if you do process an exchange, make sure that the replacement pair are sunglasses that you know you will love. I unfortunately ended up with a pair of Ray Bans that I don’t love. But now I’m stuck with them. That’s on me, not on the company. I don’t blame them for allowing a one time exchange only. That feels fair.

I've been buying frames on framesdirect.com for many years. As always, the selection is unmatched. Navigation has improved recently, too. Small tweaks to the way the pages work have made a difference for the better. It is better if you know the size of your frames: eye size, bridge length, temple length: you can pre-screen for availability and avoid returns and delays. As for the products: post-pandemic supply chain issues are still noticeable. The features are sometimes not there due to cost-cutting by manufacturers. For example, my latest frames did not have spring hinges, even if I would normally expect them in that brand and type of frames. So be prepared for limited selection of features, colors, sizes etc. Even if so, fremestdirect.com beats all online retailers that I know.

Product was shipped promptly, and arrived as described. They even included a cleaning cloth for free.

I bought two pairs of Ray-Ban Aviator glasses; one a progressive prescription and another a sunglass version of the same. Several months after I purchased the sunglasses, a lens popped out. Frames Direct instructed me to send them back, but I did not want to waste several weeks without sunglasses. I couldn't put it back in myself, so I took it to two different opticians. Neither could put it back in and both told me the lens was not properly ground to fit the frame. I glued the lens in myself, using magnifying glasses to help guide me. Under magnification, I could see that the shape of the lens did not come close to matching the shape of the frame. I could see light coming through between the lens and the frame on both top and bottom. The two stars are for the other pair I received, which are fine.

I've never considered ordering glasses online before. I decided to give it a try and it was so easy and much less money than retail. Once you are willing to try it (no risk as you can return), you will never look back
