Very efficient service .

I booked my nurse appointment via NHS app and it was quick and easy to use. The app gave me multiple dates and times I could choose from which was great as I am a patient working full time and trying to book around meetings etc used to be a nightmare. Stakes lodge staff were polite and friendly. I was in and out literally in a few minutes for a warfarin blood check. Very efficient service.

Friendly and supportive

The friendliness of the staff makes the experience good, in my opinion. Sometimes you need reassurance when you arrive at a surgery. I have always found the reception staff and medical staff very helpful and very understanding especially as visiting a doctors surgery is quite different now since Covid took place.

Very Poor Procedure

I had a phone call from the nurse to confirm an appointment date and time 2 weeks prior to the actual appointment. All fine. The day before the appointment, I received a text reminder informing me the time had changed from 1600 to 1330. Fine, I re-organised my work schedule. When I turned up for the appointment at 1330, I was told there was a 'glitch on the texting system' and the appointment was in fact still 1600, in 2.5 hours time. There was no apology from the male receptionist (don't know his him). He was unhelpful, none apologetic and even accused me of being confrontational which certainly was not the case. I tried to explain to him his customer care manner was very poor but he would not relent and basically still didn't apologise. Also, my wife had the same experience and as a dental hygienist had to reschedule all her appointments twice. Very frustrating and unprofessional experience. A female member of staff did apologise and explain they were having problems with the texting system. Shame her colleague didn't have this approach
