Studying Vet Medicine

I want to study vet medicine and my tutor was amazing in explaining the course, giving me overviews of the syllabus and growing my confidence in the advantages and disadvantages with the degree. Overall it was a great experience for me to get first hand feedback into being a vet student.

Aerospace Engineering

Zero Gravity has helped me in so many ways, they assigned me with a brilliant mentor studying the same degree that I am interested in also in one of the universities I applied to. My mentor was extremely helpful too throughout my a level experience and in answering any questions I had about the degree/uni life

Zero Gravity Exp

Since being part of Zero Gravity, I’ve been exposed to so many opportunities that I wouldn’t have otherwise been able to access. I’ve met a really cool and helpful mentor who has helped me understand the importance of school life as well as outside life. Easy platform to navigate around and kinda wish I knew about it earlier

ZeroGravity experience

I am currently a Year 13 student that wishes to study a joint degree of History and Arabic at SOAS. My experience with Zero Gravity has been extremely insightful, the community posts relatable as I read about people who had similar experiences and struggles. As well as this, the posts offer so much advice about my subject and just in general, helping me feel less anxious for the future. As I joined Zero Gravity after I had already applied to Uni, I was looking for help to get ready for the University experience. My mentor has helped incredibly: as she attends my top choice of university, she is able to give me personalised advice and stories of her experience. Just chatting to her weekly about any concerns I have for Uni was reassuring, I was able to ask any questions that had come to mind and listen to how lectured and socialising in Uni have gone for her. She's also helped me feel less stressed for my exams, reminding me that having both revision time as well as rest days is a good idea so I don't feel completely overwhelmed. Overall, I feel my mentor and ZeroGravity surpassed my expectations and helped me a lot.

Amazing opportunity

Coming from a low socio-economic background, I never considered the possibility of being able to apply or get interviewed by oxbridge or any Russel group universities. Through the help of my mentor and the zero gravity platform I was interviewed for oxford this year and have received offers from 3 different Russel group universities! Zero gravity and my mentor holly helped with my confidence tremendously and taught me that coming from a background which is not conventionally viewed as suitable for university is not a barrier to success.

Zero gravity’s helped me get into uni

I am very excited about the opportunity of going to university and my mentor sessions with Niamh provided me the clarity that I required to explore a degree in Geography. Our discussions gave me the confidence to apply for a place at Exeter or Bristol uni. School has been quite disruptive due to Covid-19 and being placed into special measures, but Niamh's enthusiasm has encouraged me to aim high.

unmatched support: best platform there is

Invaluable advice and expert knowledge from past students on the whole application process with tips for entrance exams and mock interviews unlike anything that had been provided for me at school. Only thing that was less supported was subject specific knowledge, but there probably were resources if I searched more vigorously! Overall, I am overwhelmingly happy with my experience as it played an integral role in my acceptance on a super competitive course at the top uni.

Fantastic Resource

ZeroGravity is a great way for state school students to get access to mentoring from university students doing a similar course to them, for FREE. It's amazing! I'm being mentored at the moment by someone from a Russell Group University who can answer all the questions prospective students have. The platform is also really useful, they run webinars for a range of subjects and topics, and have a great 'community' feature where students can ask specific questions and chat to like-minded students across the UK, you can also join subject-specific community pages to ask more specific questions, and more specialised answers! Overall, Zero Gravity isn't just mentoring and there is so much more to it to explore, its a great way to support students on their journey to university and it has been so helpful for me.

Thank you Zero Gravity

Zero gravity has helped, and my mentor played a huge role in this. She was extremely informative and supportive whether that was providing me with tips and tricks for exams and revision or giving me a head start on the preparations for university. We bonded over our love for psychology, and I wish to do the same for another student who gets the opportunity to use Zero Gravity. When I get to university, I hope to broaden my scope of the world and I am ready for the countless opportunities that university has for me from meeting new people, to exploring societies and hopefully exploring more of nature and what it has to offer.
