Techtron 5000 Ultra Review
WARNING I have lots of problems with the two Techtron 5000 Ultras that i bought. The build quality is very poor. I believe this escooter has been rushed to market with no after sales or technical support. 1. The screw holes don't align to connect the handlebars. The holes are drilled in the wrong place. 2. The hand screw mechanism to lock the handlebars and stop them from folding keeps coming loose. This can be very dangerous when riding. 3. The stand is welded at the wrong angle so the scooter topples easily when parked up. 4. If you pair the Techtron app with more than one Techtron 5000 scooter you will find it significantly reduces acceleration and torque of the eScooter. 5. I often get error code 16 reported by both my escooters. The manual says this error means "motor hall abnormal". The solution to this error is "to check if the motor hall wiring is normal or not" but it doesn't say how to do that. 6. The range you will get from a fully charged battery is nowhere near what they claim. 7. The stickers that give this scooter its cosmetic appeal keep pealing off.

My product arrived damaged in damaged packaging and faulty. On paper the specs are great but in reality this is a cheaply made scooter and the company who supply it are useless!! Avoid at all costs

See at bottom of review for my edit following the resolution of my issues with their product. Bought the Ultra 5000 escooter from them (Techtron) end of July. I arrived pretty fast and looked great. Upon assembling however the escooter I found out it had some knocks, seals were not put in correctly (2 were actually torn), and the escooter was surprisingly dirty/dusty. I also found out it had been used for several hours before getting to me. To clarify, this was meant to be a new escooter. I took photos of all that, and reported the issues after I proceeded to try it out as I wanted to see what the escooter was like. The build looked pretty solid so I thought why not. Although excellent at first, nippy and surprisingly comfortable a ride, I soon found out the battery was not up to the job. For a 12mile journey (half the expected range) on very flat ground, except for 1 reasonable hill part way through, the battery didn't cope. FYI I weight 85kg and was hoping to use it full speed most of the way as on a cycling trail. Several times the power dropped out, I think once reaching 50% remaining battery, and I had to walk to escooter up the short hill. I was then stuck at 10mph or so, and any suggestion of an incline would drop me back down to 5mph or less. Pretty shocking really. It has a lot of good things going for itself otherwise. The Bluetooth connection to the app is also a good idea but disconnects very easily and the on board computer does not remember settings between rides. I then tried to contact the company to report and organise a solution to the issues and concerns I noted, I've now been in this process for over 3 weeks and still no solution has been found. I have been passed to various people via email who assured me something would be done (the latest saying a refund and collection of the escooter would be organised) then no further contact and nothing is moving. Also, contacting the company is particularly difficult. Various phone numbers are not actually connected, and the contact emails on their website are incorrect and there is a very coincidental typo... The correct contact email needs to have an S added to the customerservice(S) email link they actually display. (although no one could seemingly find the emails I sent there...) as well as 01274307310 for a phone call. Finally, I activated the warranty online via their website and an error appeared, and I have no proof it was activated now. Might have to take this further if nothing happens after I contact them again today. Will update my review accordingly if I receive responses from them and things actually happen. Not good so far! EDIT 12/09/22: Following a lengthy process and many email communications, I have eventually obtained resolution on these issues. They agreed the escooter had likely been used between dispatch and delivery, so they agreed to a full refund. It took quite a bit of emailing and patience (in part due to to summer holidays from both sides), however they had the escooter collected, then sent me a full refund. The collection was not the easiest to organise, but I had only to give an address and they sorted the rest. I repackaged the escooter as it had arrived, and the refund took about 4/5 days after they received the escooter back. I can only commend them for this. I am happy to confirm it is not a fraudulent company, as I originally suggested, but they simply have a slightly dysfunctional system and patience is key, once contact has been made and confirmed! Hopefully they will improve on their products in the future. I improved my rating to 3 stars following a successful return and refund.

The scooter is rubbish. I think its defective, stops after every 5 mins. And iv been emailing for a return without getting a response.

Absolutely delighted with the ultra 5000 build quality is top notch no rattles or squeaks out of the stem and that extra speed up to 25mph when you use the mobile app just makes it better for getting from A to B that bit faster would recommend for anyone looking an E scooter for commuting or social.
Don't buy this E-Scooter! Really cheap manufacture with plenty of faults
I bought the Techtron ultra.5000 on the 27th May. It has all started on the wrong foot: I ordered it on the Friday morning because of the 24H delivery so I was supposed to eceive it on the next Monday as it is mentioned on the website which is quite misleading. I received it 2 days later so not even 24-48h slot as promised. Then I received the E-Scooter. After only on month and less than 6h of use I can tell that's this is definitely the worse thing I bought in my entire life. The autonomy is far from 40 miles even in a normal speed. When the battery is half the e-scooter starts to slow and you can only go at 10mph max, and I'm not even mentioning when it comes to a non flat ground as you have to walk the e-scooter otherwise it won't go above 5mph. But that's not all, after only one month the e-scooter to start to show an incredible amounts of faults. You can definitely see that it's a cheap manufacture. I guess the brand Techtron is just something they put on the e-scooter but the manufacturers are surely from China/India. I guess it's another "UK manufacturer" who buy conteners on Alibaba.com and then rebrand it. My disappointment is beyond disappointment actually. I will claim a full refund ASAP.
Poor refund service
Your services was great but recently, I bought a scooter and I canceled the order the next day due to some issues. It’s been a week since I canceled the order and requested for a refund but still haven’t got my money back 😔
