Such warm and conscientious staff, great service + product
We bought an ottoman bed recently from Warren Evans and the whole experience was excellent from start to finish. The answered all our questions on the phone and then even dropped some fabric samples through our letter box on their way home that evening so we could still purchase before the sale ended and choose a colour during these pandemic times. The bed itself is very well made and feels solid. The finish is great and we are delighted with the overall look. The bed arrived in parts and was put together by Warren Evans delivery team. Who were covid safe and really friendly and polite. Nothing was too much trouble, despite my chopping and changing my mind on the height of the headboard. They were patient and helpful, cutting the headboard on site and moving the position of bed multiple times. Both my partner and I commented after they left how lucky Warren Evans are to have such warm and conscientious staff. Really can't recommend this company enough. This is the second bed I have bought from them and I will continue to do so in the future should we need more furniture.
Worst mattress I have ever slept on
Worst mattress I have ever slept on. Bought the Natural 135 Bonnell spring. Originally booked to return the mattress within the 40 days then stupidly decided to try it for longer in case things improved, but they haven’t and I dread going to sleep every night. What I presume is the wool content (it feels like sleeping on a layer of thick animal hair) must be just under the top fabric layer and creates an insulating effect that is inescapably hot and uncomfortable. This is actually the worst feature making me toss and turn all night. It feels like sleeping directly on several thick wool or animal hair blankets. In addition there is no discernible support layer. The springs must be present but they fail to do their job, with the result that the mattress surface is utterly lacking in any kind of support, dotted with varying zones of depth/ support. I am still amazed at this as it points to such deficient design. All in all an absolute waste of money
Warren Evans went into administration…
Warren Evans went into administration in 2018, I purchased 3 new mattresses under a 5 year guarantee, all 3 mattresses developed a fault, but I couldn't get the mattresses replaced by Warren Evans because they shut down, had to contact my bank for a refund instead, but now 3 years later Warren Evans are open again??????? Under the same name??????? That is seriously dishonest Warren Evans, and your mattresses are certainly NOT the highest quality, they developed a fault after only 6 months!!!!!
Appalling customer service, do not buy
I must start by asking you to read the 5* review I have just written about another UK company. Good service does exist but, sadly it isn’t consistent with Warren Evans. I bought an Organic 6000 ziplink mattress from them, their “top of the range” for “maximum comfort” per their site. They have a 40 day guarantee so I thought that there was nothing to lose. As it turns out the mattress was so unbelievably firm for me that I was unable to sleep because I developed excruciating hip pain which I’ve never experienced before. I phoned them to exchange it. You cannot speak to anyone in person, they call you back, but Frank seemed very helpful suggesting they send me a free mattress topper (either a feather one which needs plumping every day or a foam one which completely defeats the object of an organic mattress) so I said I’d like to go ahead with the exchange which was done very quickly to a Natural 2000 ziplink. I was unaware I could only exchange the mattress once as part of the guarantee, as Frank didn’t mention it (and I honestly wouldn’t have expected to need to do a second exchange in any case) but I did explain about my back problem being caused by the first mattress and gave Frank my weight and height as asked. This second mattress was definitely softer but it quickly became apparent that my hip was dipping down into the ziplink area of the bed which has no support so my pelvis was badly twisted. I have contacted Warren Evans to explain that the ziplink feature on a Kingsize mattress effectively means me sleeping on a two foot six wide mattress (narrower than a single!) and that it wasn’t made clear to me on the phone that the tension would only be in the central panel of the narrow mattress, meaning there would be absolutely no support in the centre. I have been trying to perch on the outer edge of the mattress which isn’t safe and certainly isn’t comfortable. I first contacted them on 6th December about the second mattress, explaining in writing to Frank that I was in agony and not sleeping at all. I was then passed to Marcin and then regular communication from them stopped on 14th. The last note I received from Marcin said, “I am just tied up till end of day but I will reach out to you tomorrow as a priority. I hope thats ok.” I said it was but I have since heard nothing, despite me emailing them three times. In the interim I received a generic email from them asking me to share my experience on social media and, again, I emailed them to say that I should imagine they would prefer I not do this right now but, again, nothing. It pains me to have to write this and I expect it’s quite painful for the reader too but I wanted to let you know that Warren Evans’ promise on their site of “a perfect sleep for everyone” and “Warren Evans cares about the environment, the customer and the craftsmanship of his beds” does not ring true. In his small print he does say “An adult wouldn’t want to sleep on a small single mattress (75cm wide) for very long“ which is what I’ve been expected to do. And finally, two quotes taken directly from the website, I couldn’t put this better myself: “When making a purchase make sure you consider reputation of the retailer. will they deliver on the promises they make at the point of sale?”; and “Look into the retailers returns process and chose one that will work on your terms and won’t leave you out of pocket for just trying to get rid of what isn’t right for you. Isn't that the best kind of service not to need?”

Bought a mattress on behalf of my nephew. Ordering went smoothly . query dealt with quickly and staff couldnt be more helpful. Delivery bang on estimated time with call 30 mins before. Delivery of new mattress and old mattress taken away in quick and covid safe time. Nephew very pleased as very comfortable indeed.

Excellent customer service received…
Excellent customer service received from Chris and Warren. One of the gas lifts on a bed that I’d bought a few years from Warren Evans broke. It was a long shot but phoned during lockdown to see if they could order a replacement in for me. Chris took my details and said they’d contact the manufacturer, he wasn’t sure if they’d be able to supply one. I shortly received a phone call to say Warren had found one in their workshop!! Chris promptly posted it out to me free of charge. Most grateful as we again have a working bed. Thank you!!
