We were regularly kept updated with each stage in contract process and given concise requests for required information. This enabled a continuous flow in the sale contract process.
Where to even start!
Where to even start? We were not given accurate information the whole time through our hosue sale, we found out after the 56 days when the Modern Method of Auction should have closed out that the buyers didn't even have a secured mortgage offer and were trying different companies until they got one. For one of the employees (I couldn't tell you who as we had so many different staff dealing with things) to say 'We are a law firm we can't lie' was an absolute joke! They lied again and again throughout the process (lying by omission is still lying) and did not inform us correctly throughout the process as to what was going on. Half the time we didn't know if we were talking to Medway or I Am Sold (also a bunch of cowboys - see separate review). The fact we were told we had to use this bunch of incompetent solicitors by I Am Sold doesn't even seem legal in the first place. Only use this company if you want to lose £40,000 off the value of your house.

A dog's breakfast
Medway Law made a bit of a dog's breakfast with our sale I'm afraid. We signed the paperwork to sell but our buyer then pulled out - fair enough, these things happen. This is buyer 1. We found a second buyer quite soon afterwards and the process went through reasonably smoothly, though hours spent on hold or being cut off when you get to the front of the queue when trying to contact Medway Law is frustrating. We completed to buyer 2 in May 2023. Then we started getting emails from Medway Law saying that the TR1 needed to be altered to adjust the names of the buyers. We realised that these new names were those of the buyers who dropped out and knew that the real buyers has kept the property. We replied asking things like could they check, what were the details that had changed, why were we needing to do this. We just got stock answers and it was clear they never relooked at the case to check. Finally, today, they rang me to chase me for the amended TR1 and, after a five minute check realised they had made a mistake and apologised. It's mid-September. It really does make you wonder about their attention to detail.
