Terrible service
Their trying to do change order, we’ve refused since they can’t justify it. I’m assuming it’s a scam they always try. So yes it is a scam. Youve refused to provide any evidence for an upgrade, or specs for anything you plan to use. You are also going yo have to explain this to the state.
Glyde Solar...just don't do it
I would highly recommend steering clear of Glyde Solar. These guys are just about selling you panels and moving on. With our system it took forever to get the system permitted and installed, the sub-contractor they used (I'll have a review for them, too) sent workers that don't even speak English. How can you communicate with your customer when you can't speak the local language? We contracted for REC panels, and on install day they arrived with a cheaper panel. No one spoke to us beforehand about switching equipment, so I'm suspecting they were hoping we wouldn't notice. They also showed up one panel short. They finally got everything installed and sent the inspector out. Guess what? Inspection FAILED!! They sent guys out to supposedly fix it, but they have still not scheduled the inspection. We signed the contract in June, and here we are going into December and we're still not on. Jason Scott is as awful as they come. If that guy comes knocking on your door I highly recommend kindly turning him away. His cohort Marcus will say anything to get you to sign. They're terrible. If we ever get this thing working, I hope we don't ever have a warranty issue. For those reading this, steer clear! To Glyde: Yes. Look up Donna Smith. Not sure who you've handed this to at this point. INF Energy? VonLoor & Sloof? Hard to tell these days. It's been so long. There you have it. From Glyde themselves. They'll sell you a solar system, hand it off to a subcontractor, and take no responsibility if it goes sideways. Wish I knew that before signing paperwork.

The sales process with Blake was not high pressure and we appreciated that. We did decide to sign with Glyde Solar and we are happy we did. Everyone from sales to installation were a pleasure to work with. Since our installation we’ve had the pleasure to watch our electric meter run backward to under where it was when our solar system was installed. We are looking forward to years of savings ahead!

At this point I am feeling scammed by this company. We were told we'd have working solar panels 4 months ago. I have no idea what's going on, I'm still getting a solar bill and my old energy bill. They're not returning phone calls. I regret ever using this company Edit to reply; account name is under Erik Lancaster
Slow process, no communication
I really really really wanted to love this company as they promised quick and easy process. Well, we started the process in May and 6 months later, we are nowhere close to finish it. We are constantly waiting for something: parts for install, replacement parts (not encouraging on the first install), county review, didn't pass back to Glyde, now on Xcel... Blame is being sent from one party to the other and needless to say, this is huge pain in a neck and very costly, and not even close to what was promised. I hope someone reads this review and saves themselves time, money and energy unlike me who blindly believed in everything they put on a table. Btw, our house in perfect for this, new neighbourhood, no trees, brand new roof, in Colorado with lots of sun. If only company could deliver....

Had Solar on my last house with a different company. When I went with Glyde I was a little hesitant due to the confusing amount of reviews on here. I think there in 20 plus states that people think a review in another state is the same as Colorado… it’s not. After looking into it via google glyde solar has the most positive reviews out of the 6 companies I looked at. Let me say they were not lying. I don’t judge a company by what they say but what they do. They were with me the whole process and I would like to say I wish I would have went with them to go solar on my last house. I know what’s it’s like to go through the process before, and they absolutely crushed it. Anything that held the process up (cus solar can be confusing) or question I had they made me feel like I care. And they even added an attic fan to upgrade my houses overall energy efficiency. I’ll be referring my family over. Thanks Nyko
Forwarning to anyone looking at this…
Forwarning to anyone looking at this company for Solar. Buyer beware! We had solar panels installed in early June, still not hooked up. Constantly receive nothing but the run-around from the office, never get the same answer twice. They lie to the homeowner just to get the sale. We are heading into October and still nothing is hooked up. The communication from the company is abysmal at best.
A guy named Will came by my house last…
A guy named Will came by my house last weekend to chat about solar for my house. He said he'd come by today to let me know if solar panels were going to work on my particular house. He came by today, and as we chatted on my front porch, I let him know I wasn't going to move forward. He then wanted to come inside my house to "practice" his shpeil with me, because he's new to the company and needed the practice. I said no, and that he could practice on my front porch. His facial expression went from welcoming to upset, and he said, "If you're not going to let me in your house, then there's no point to talk any further." He then turned and walked away. What a rude person! What rock did he come out from under to think I would let a total stranger in my house! Are you really training your sales people to do that??? Do you think I'm ever going to look at using your company in the future??? I hope you know the answer to that question is a big fat NO!
Long install process, but otherwise good
Everything was going great up until the installation. They came out and began the installation on my home on July 1st. Since then, they've had the electrical inspector out five times and still haven't passed. It's now been 2 1/2 months and my first loan payment is due. They promised me I wouldn't have to pay anything until the power was turned on, but as far as I know we're still weeks away from that happened. I've expressed my concerns but can't get in touch with anyone on the management team, and no one is doing anything to help. Weeks would pass without hearing a thing. Then suddenly they'd send out another inspector, even though no one had come around to make any changes. Their whole company seems deeply disorganized and incapable of keeping this project on schedule. Now I have to make a payment on a solar array that's sitting on my house doing nothing. Go with a different company that is more on top of things and willing to help. Edit: As of 9/26, I've received my refund for my first loan payment and it sounds like everything is finished finally from Glyde's perspective, so the utilities should let us turn the power on soon. I'm grateful Glyde took my complaints seriously.
