I recently ordered a dress from this store, and while their clothes are quite nice, I want to warn international customers about potential hidden fees. If you live abroad, be aware that there are significant fees not disclosed on the final payment page. These fees are only mentioned in the terms and conditions, which you must read before checking the agree box. I purchased a dress for around 100 Euros and, after several days, received messages to pay an additional 80 Euros in fees to have it delivered to my country. I decided to refuse the delivery and requested a refund. However, the store informed me that I would only receive a refund for the price of the item minus the fees, and this would be issued as store credit, not cash. Be careful if you live abroad and ensure you thoroughly read the terms and conditions before making a purchase. This could save you from unexpected and significant extra charges.

My experience with Billy j was great, it’s a very easy site to work with a huge range of clothes accommodating everyone. The quality of the clothes is great and very affordable. Got my clothes within 4 days which is just awesome… love this boutique

If I could put one star I will. I made an ordered on the 30th of June which was a Thursday, express shipping was for free because I’m in Australia (Sydney) and this is supposedly coming from QLD so it said shipping is 2-3 days. Wednesday the 3rd someone comes to “deliver” the package no one was home, didn’t leave it outside and no postage note was left because they use delivery company called DragonFly. Long story short I needed this dress for a wedding on Saturday, Billy J customer service tell me the package is “lost” at 4:30 pm on Friday after calling the delivery company 4/5 times on that day. Here I am today after 2 weeks the dress is still not here, nothings been resolved and because I sent a email this morning saying you have some disgusting customer service they gave me two store gift cards. I’m never shopping with you again I want my money back.

The customer service is incredibly bad. They do not provide refunds or credit on returns unless they are deemed faulty. To get a dress returned for being faulty is not easy either, I had multiple dresses with looses threads. Didn’t think this would be an issue with these dresses as I thought being from Billy J the quality would be decent, I thought very wrong. I wore a dress out once to an event that had cushions on all of the seating areas, there was nothing for me to catch this dress on anywhere. The dress has an insane amount of damage coming from where all the loose threads are, it has caused the material to pull and run. Billy J blame me and say that there is no way the damage could be from loose threads and that it has obviously been caught on something, they are calling me a liar so they do not have to provide any support for damages. Apparently I should have sent the dress back because of these loose threads but the loose threads are not the cause for the damage. Make that make sense. I have been battling them for a month, they offered me “a refund of 20% out of goodwill” out of that refund I received $7.12 which the amount should have been $18.45. Their argument for this is that is was just for the one item and not the order as a whole but that was not stated by them at the time and apparently is should be obvious to me that a refund would only be off the one item only. Unless stated, the refund is off the whole order but they respond with “ we are not willing to compensate anymore on this” Their products are also from china, which goes against their sustainability act they are trying to perceive to everyone. And the tags are misleading, I have a dress that says 100% cotton on material that is absolutely not cotton. Do no buy from them.

Don’t bother with this company. I ordered a dress and needed to return it due to the incorrect size. I got a store credit and paid for return postage - as outlined in their policies section. So I paid for shipping, for return postage and then when I used my store credit, I paid for shipping again. The items I got with my store credit were nothing like the pictures and very poor quality - see through and thin. Waste of time and money. I couldn’t even be bothered to return them and try and get something else as I’d be out another $24 with all the shipping costs!

Shipping was a bit expensive but came much quicker than expected, dress is high quality and the design is just stunning.

I love the unique styles and patterns of each item. Whilst I usually struggle to find clothing that suits me Billy J provided so many amazing options that I had too much in my cart at the end of 10 minutes of looking. The styles aren’t just suited to one specific body shape which is very exciting as someone with a pear shaped body. Overall I really love Billy J and can’t wait to shop there again!!
