Worth the extra when selling

This quick and easy tool can prevent you from making a very expensive mistake. I was looking to buy an Audi TT from a "reputable" dealer, but thought that for the sake of £20 I'd still get it checked out. The check highlight that over the course of an 11 month period, the mileage on the car had gone from 26,536 miles to 23,380!!! 🙈🙈🙈 I spoke to the dealer about this and they said that this often happens due to someone "miss-keying" data into the system. They said that they would investigate the error and have the "miss-key" corrected. They would then call me back within the hour to confirm that this had been resolved. One day later and still no phone call. 😱😱😱 Needless to say, the car is still for sale!

Never had to do an HPI check before but this service gave more information than I was expecting - well worth the £9.99 and definitely recommended to all!

Very clear and thorough information - I was trying to get further information about why a car I'm interested on buying had 4 license plate changes and the HPI check clearly showed that this was merely due to two plate personalisations and two switches back. Very happy and relieved! Becci

I should have gone for the three checks as I was buying from eBay. This was the second attempt so it cost me nearly £40. That said the report was excellent and it does reassure you when buying a vehicle.
