Many thanks for providing me with the support I needed to setup the power of attorney forms, it might seems simple but to an aging 80 year old it was just what I needed.
Painless and affordable
Step by step, painless and straightforward process. And affordable too. Ticks all the right boxes, I'll definitely recommend to friends.
Good but could be better
I felt the form was a little lacking in automation repeated entry of the same names and addresses, could be helped by an autocomplete option. It took a long time to review and I have noticed a couple of anomalies since receiving the "checked" versions but now I can't go back to edit so I am waiting another two days to find out about this. I did not realise it would take so long.
Lasting Power of Attorneys.
Lasting Power of Attorneys. I have been thinking of setting up Lasting Power of Attorneys for my wife and myself for a few years and each time there was an inexcusable reason to delay because of my lack of understanding of what is really required. Having seen that Which Legal offer a service to provide assistance with the process of drawing up the relevant documents I decided to take up the offer. The process was so simple and guidance from Which was very helpful. As a result I didn't find the process as daunting as I originally believed. All I have to do now is to arrange for the attorneys to sign the documents and be witnessed by the Certificate Provider Thank you for your assistance. J.Comlay
A well organised online process with human assistance
This is an online service. However, the step by step process is well planned and explanatory notes are at hand all through. My first draft (attempt) was just 85% complete before I submitted it for review. The process itself makes you think through all the various contingencies that need to be addressed. This was borne out by the advice returned to me from the reviewer. I went through the process a 2nd time and was able to properly complete the process. I received my bound printed copy a few days later. I now only need to sign & have it witnessed. Then I can submit it for registration, which appears straightforward enough as a link is provided.
modification of my will
I had good communication with the people handling my will. It is taking a while to complete, but I am happy with the process.
Eases the pain of an onerous process but with minor IT glitches.
Straightforward, but onerous and boring process marred only by less than perfect online form. There was a rather annoying tendency for the form to jump around causing incorrect information to be entered in some boxes which took time to correct. In our case, there was a lot of repetition of the same names and addresses, and it would have been helpful if these could have been entered just once and subsequent boxes offered previous information as an autocomplete option. Help for each section of the forms was useful. The review waiting period was a bit long, which meant that we lost an opportunity to complete the form when signatories visited - the reviewed forms appeared in my inbox the next day, and has meant that we have been unable to complete the process as quickly as we would have liked. Nevertheless the review gave us confidence that we had done what was required.
Need yo make a change to my Will
A few days ago I contacted WhichWills because both my husband and I had to make a change to our will! It does happen!!! I was shocked to be met with total rudeness, arrogance and total dismissal by some highly arrogant young man. Why would I want to do that???? (It wasn't much anyway, yet important) It would be better if I went to a Solicitor in town to do what I needed !! In any case, it would take at least 2 weeks to get it done, and I will hardly need it in the next two weeks, will I ! Actually, that is exactly what I need. I have newly diagnosed terminal cancer. I am being admitted to hospital for extremely radical surgery and have been warned that I may not survive it! So, yes, I DO need the change made urgently! It could easily be done in a day! But no, the young man decided I was just foolish (without knowing the changes to be made!) Please be warned DO NOT rely on these young paralegals to help you when needed. Especially not once you have paid. I would NEVER recommend this service to anyone! They are unhelpful, dismissive and utterly patronising. Do NOT rely on Which?Wills to help you to produce this very vital document and most certainly not change anything, should anything in your circumstances change. Wills are of course often changed...NOT however, through Which?Wills however, it seems. Your are stuck and left in the lurch, at a very difficult time in your life! BEWARE znd seek a Professional Service instead.
Avoid
Have been a member of Which for well over 45 years and believed this would be a really easy and efficient service. It is anything but. Used their so-called premium service for mirror wills. The idea of mirror wills is that they are the same or as they state when you sign up “if you want the exact same things in your will”. However, what was provided was not mirror wills and had material differences. I asked Which to change this but is simply a template service (as they put it) and are unable to manually amend the document. Not exactly sure what I paid for but it certainly was not what I was expected to accept. I asked Which? to cancel and give me a refund but they replied “As you are outside of 14 days and your document has been reviewed I cannot offer a refund.” It took them more than 14 days to ‘review’ and for me to find that they were not the mirror wills I wanted and expected. There must be better, and cheaper, alternatives and I’m surprised and really disappointed by Which? They have the money and so I have paid for nothing. I would definitely not recommend this service. UPDATE: I took up their offer to contact them and was told it would be investigated. The choice of jurisdiction was in one will but simply non-existent in the other. The definition of estate was completely different between the two. I wonder if people put their faith in Which? and don’t take time to check them carefully, as I’m not sure what the ‘review’ does. Which? have now replied that “the wills provided were mirror wills”. Can only repeat my view - avoid

Can't access my account
Desperately trying to log in having forgotten password. Tried the reset password several times and doesn't work. Message says account does not exist. Then try and register an account and says email address already taken. For an organisation claiming to fight for the consumer, this is awful. The only way to contact them is through the account page on the site which I can't access. Come on Which - sort this out.
