A great day out full of beautiful scenery on top of the North Yorkshire Moors and charming villages. Whitby is a lovely place full of character and fresh fish and chips. Plenty to see and Jet jewellery shops in the old town. Steep steps down from the old Abbey ruins but spectacular views from the top of the coastline. John P ? gave us a commentary all the way with fascinating facts on history and geography and humorous stories. No steam train as too late in the year unfortunately. Definitely recommend this trip and company as have been on tours with them in the Lake District

Mountain Goat - All Creatures Great & Small tour this October, 2024 was absolutely the best day ever! Our guide John was so informative. He reviewed Yorkshire history and tied it into the place names we drove through, explained the topography, the reasons there are hawthorn hedgerows in some areas and stone walls in others. We saw sites where All Creatures was filmed. John navigated the most narrow of roads carefully and stopped for photos at many breathtakingly beautiful spots. I cannot wait to go on another Mt Goat tour! I would never have seen or learned as much just driving myself. My only recommendation is that they add Harrogate as a starting point of tours. The town is always full of visitors who would appreciate the convenience of boarding the bus in Harrogate as well as the top notch service Mountain Goat provides!

We took the tour, North Yorkshire Moors and Whitby Day Tour from York, on Tuesday 1st Oct., and it was brilliant - in spite of the weather! Our driver John S was very knowledgable and entertaining. I am a solo female traveller who enjoys landscape photography as a hobby and because this was my first trip abroad on my own I decided to book a one to one workshop with Ian, not just for the tuition but also to enable me to photograph in areas I would not otherwise have been able to get to and Ian also provided Hotel pick up and drop off. I attended the workshop on 23/10/2019 around Lake Bohinj in Slovenia. The workshop was originally planned for a Sunrise, however due to Ian's knowledge he informed me the day before that storms were forecast for early morning, therefore recommended we changed to an 11.30am pickup instead and then stay out later for Sunset and the Blue Hour. When we arrived at Lake Bohinj, Ian took me a walk around various possible composition points and he was very informative in what to look for in a composition and how to research where the best light will be depending on the time of day. He gave me details of Apps he recommended for accurate weather forecasts and to advise on where the sun would rise and set etc. Although the heavy storms had passed, the sky remained very grey and cloudy most of the day, therefore Ian took me to two lakeside locations and a beautiful waterfall quite high up in the mountains where we could make the most of the moody conditions. Unfortunately the cloudy weather did not improve enough for me to photograph a Sunset, however Ian took me to a spot where I was able to photograph in the Blue Hour that follows Sunset which was a new experience for me and I learnt such a lot. Throughout the day Ian allowed me to set up my own compositions and then would advise on focal point, aperture, ISO etc. and if filters could improve the exposure depending on the light. He also gave advice on long exposures, when and when not to try them depending on the movement of the clouds and water and also how to reduce the exposure time by changing other settings on the camera. Ian's method of teaching is excellent and he answered all my questions in an easy to understand way. Ian is a very friendly and easy to talk to guy and his expertise in landscape photography is evident. I would not hesitate to book another workshop with him.

Derudover blev jeg ikke kontaktet af virksomheden og jeg finder derfor først ud af varen er udsolgt da jeg henvendte mig til dem på mail. Deres funktion til ‘kvinde tøj’ virkede heller ikke så godt. Ofte blev man bare ført ind på tøjet til ‘Herre’ og derfor er t-shirts f.eks i herre størrelser og ikke kvinde størrelser, hvilket man lige skal være opmærksom på. Det er svært at se, hvor deres fysiske forretninger ligger. Jeg gik forgæves til deres pop up store, men det fremgik ikke nogle steder hvornår den blev lukket ned. Jeg skrev til dem over Instagram, da jeg havde en aftale omkring jeg skulle købe tøj i deres fysiske butik. Men jeg fik desværre aldrig svar tilbage.

Jeg modtog mit nye tøj i onsdags og sikke et lækkert materiale. Jeg er vild med deres produkter og gode kundeservice! De får mine varmeste anbefalinger!

The experience is good if you are prepared to sell below market value, as no Estate agent, or solicitors fees. They stuck to their offer, which I was happy with. Moving day came, and I felt a bit pressured being told I was to hand over the keys to the buyer at 12.00. This is the fourth time I have bought and sold a property, and in my experience I have never received the keys until the afternoon, as I have always been part of a chain, so there was no way I was going to hand them over until I had the keys to my new house. The explanation I was given was that, 'my buyers just wanted to be in'. So did I, and maybe it works like that if you are moving into a vacant property, but not as part of a chain. Anyway, they kept letting me put if back by 30 minutes at a time. The buyers were waiting in their car outside. When I spoke with them, it turned out they had not made any demands, and were just told they would be getting the keys at 12.00, so I suspect Goodmove close on a Friday afternoon, or maybe the particular member of staff dealing with my sale had booked the afternoon off. I got the keys for my property at 12.55, after i had travelled to an Estate Agents to collect them, so my buyers just had to wait.

I have just sold a property with Goodmove and have been absolutely delighted with their service. The people I've dealt with are helpful and very professional. They always get back to my emails, in a decent window. Any issue and it's dealt with there and then. They offer pre-ordering of certain things which is epic. Everything ive received has been boxed (appropriate size) in brand new, unbranded, sturdy, plain cardboard boxes and have been packaged properly... good use of space so theres little movement with just a good amount of filler material. I cannot commend enough whomever packed my stuff, some decent thought went into that. Plus I've appreciated the wee good quality trinkets thrown in from time to time in larger orders (they are useable and I do daily). The only time their price was beaten for me was when amazon had a promotion with a significant discount at xmas, and it was really only 3 things out of a 20 or so line order. Apart from that one time... if someone was a few quid less I'd still go to LGS because I know the service I'm going to get and thats worth it.

HERE2CLEAR are a great company to deal with. Frankie and Ross worked extremely hard and cleared my mum's flat of furniture and a LOT of things accumulated over the years within a few hours.
