High quality product

I have no words to describe the quality of the coat! Absolutely fantastic! I was a bit stressed about the size but I measured my chest etc., I picked the corresponding size and it fits perfectly! I will definitely go for a second one in a different colour!

Disappointed that the mens Duffle coat…

Disappointed that the mens Duffle coat was out of stock which was not shown on the website. However the coat for my 6 year old is perfect though on the small size in sleeves which can do with being made longer. I believe the 7-9 years coat will last until he is 7-8 years not to 9 years!!

Love the quality of the coat

Love the quality of the coat. It fit perfectly, and was roomy enough for layers underneath. I always worry about the shoulder and upper arm, but there were no restrictions! My biggest concern came from the lack of notifying me that the coat was out of stock.

Without control over the stock or how to do things very badly

This is my experience with my first purchase: I bought two items in sales (SHORT LEYTON CLASSIC DUFFLE FOR WOMEN and SHORT HACKNEY CLASSIC DUFFLE COAT FOR MEN).A total of 251 pounds. The payment with PayPal was confirmed. A week passed and I did not have any news about the shipment. I sent an email asking if there was any problem and the answer was that one of the items was out of stock and will be refunded the corresponding money (i have to say that they did it immediately). I asked for the item out of stock and they replied that it was the short Leyton. (so the item that would be sent would be the Hackney). After three days, I receive the package at home and ... it's short Leyton !! What really happened? they lied to me? Do they know what really is in the stock? I am sad, and very upset about the whole process and the chaos about the information I received.

Rating Zero . Company is a shambles .Ordered a duffle coat Saturday 2nd Feb, ordered acknowledged money instantly taken from bank account and email stated “We’re getting your order ready to be shipped. We will notify you when it has been sent.” Silence,nothing , no email. Sent an enquiring email today 7th Feb as to its shipping status and received the following “Thank you for your email The item you have requested is out of stock. We have no sizes in the Charcoal and no other colours available in size 50 We have cancelled your order and refunded you, please re-order if you require an alternative. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.” Clearly Dufflecoatsuk/Montgomery have problems with inventory management and websales. Until they get an integrated software package they should not bother. I wont be going near that lot again but have bought from Gloverall today !

If I'm honest I am dissappointed with the service. I contacted customer services before making my purchase and I found the person who answered the phone to be very brusque and gave the impression that she wanted me off the line asap. I did purchase on the advice given regardng the sizing. The follow up e-mail with delivery times etc., was good. The item wasn't delivered on the day given but did arrive, within the time slot, the next day. As soon as I saw the coat I knew it would be too big which it was and has to be sent back. I have to pay for the return postage. I did contact customer services again to ask if I could have an exchange which mean that I would be paying more for the replacement. She again was very brusque in her reply and said that I had to have a refund and purchaser another coat on line. That was then the end of the conversation. I have therefore decided not to purchase another coat just in case there is something wrong with it and I will have to go though all that again.
