Huge disappointment
Huge disappointment, we were told they were installers for the ECO scheme, and arranged a survey. The grant was applied for and electric shrouding was arranged, then to be told, application was unable to be funded. Upon speaking to Joe,the sales manager, was informed that their surveyor had raised the energy rating on the property. When questioned further, it appears the LMF surveyor had the property having double glazing when the vast majority are single glazed metal framed windows, also solid floors, when they are suspended floors and loft insulation, when only partially insulated. It seems incredible that a surveyor can make such simple mistakes that completely make the funding uneconomic for the property. Joe promised to look into this and get back to us, but have not heard back at all. Just be aware you can be led along the process, get all approved and be let down at the end. This is meant to be one of the top five installers under the ECO scheme. Trying to avoid anybody feeling as down as we are after going through this process.
Great experience with LMF!
LMF installed our solar pv system as part of Liverpool City Region Solartogether scheme. We didn’t know what to expect but I was very pleased with the speed, efficiency and professionalism of the company. The engineers and other contractors were excellent which was very reassuring and we were happy with the installation .
Excellent solar panel installation company
From the outset our experience with LMF has been excellent. Their communications with us have been first class. The time scale from first contact to completed installation was very short, only a matter of weeks. The whole installation took less than 1 day, the staff were very professional, took time to explain exactly what what happening and caused minimal disruption. Barring a slight miscommunication with the scaffolding company which led to a short delay in the scaffolding being taken down, the whole process could not have been smoother. We are absolutely delighted with our solar panels and the manner in which they were installed.

Solar excellence.
Firstly, the cost. With the Solar Together partnership we paid only cost price and no labour charge. We where given a timetable of events, all went as planned. Our property was left with no mess, all the workmen were efficient and pleasant to deal with. One minor problem, the scaffolding removal team nudged our satellite dish and we lost our signal. I am happy to report that LMS paid to have it realigned with no argument.
All was good in the begining
All was good in the begining, the guys that came out some improvement could be made with the odd one, mainly not being respectful to my property,but the after sales is not good, it took a few weeks of calling to get the email with the App so I can see what my solar panels were generating, but my main grumble is the pipe work from the airsource heat fan, there are areas not covered with lagging, gaps in the lagging and hole big enough for birds and rodents to get in going into my property, I have been calling every few days, sent photos as requested for weeks now and no-one will come back to me so this can be sorted, also I have never signed anything off, should I not had been given something to sigh to say I'm happy with the job done so money is released, I find it very odd that you would be paid for a job that hasn't been confirmed as complete which mine hasn't been. The only reason I have put comments on this site is in the hope that someone will actually respond to me, the receptionist Dan is lovely and so helpful, he is doing what he can to help me but its the person who deals with the air source side of things who WILL not talk to me, so I will give them another call today and if still no one comes back to me by Friday I will put a complaint into to the Energy ombudsman
