Very easy to collect and drop off. Staff were helpful.

From the original order online from the easy to follow website including a delay of a week because of BT. We hired the correct number of crates (the lateral file crates were brilliant). The crates arrived as requested - good communication and help from the delivery driver. We needed to extend the hire by a couple of days. No problem. When collected the driver was very courteous and cheerful. All in all I cannot speak more highly of the service. The crates are fit for purpose and the contents were kept dry in medium rain. If we have to move again I will use Crate Hire UK again. It made what could have been a chaotic move bearable.

The staff both online and at the Bristol depot were excellent, I was even given a discount code in the online chat with Ben. Very gratefully received. The staff at the depot were super, helping get as many crates into our people mover as possible, and adjusting the order as I couldn't fit in as many as I'd ordered. This brings me onto some practical oversights in terms of the customer experience: 1. The dimensions of the CH3 crate quoted on the website (to the nearest millimetre) are supposedly external dimensions, but the crates are much bigger than that in reality. Perhaps they give the internal dimensions? Anyway, I carefully measured my car for 40 crates and in the end could only fit in 28, as they were bigger than described. It would be helpful to have the actual internal and external dimensions on the website, as well as accurate height of, say, 10 empty stacked boxes. 2. The location and lack of signage of the depot caused me confusion and considerable delay. The address of the Bristol depot is listed as 203 Burcott Road - I couldn't find it when I went to that road, so called the company for directions, they gave me an address to go to, which I went to, couldn't find it again, called the depot direct and they told me it was actually on Burcott Road (they've relocated recently). They also gave me a good description of how to find them, which I did in the end. It would be *really* good to have a big, clear sign outside stating 'Crate Hire UK' so you can see it from a car as you drive past. Also, a picture of it on the website would help, so you know what you're looking for. 3. 0854 numbers like the one for calling the company are now charged at a considerable rate to most network customers, I will have 80p added to my phone bill for the call this morning. They gave me the direct depot number which was great, it would have been better to have this number in the first place, to save me time and money. However, as I say, the service was brilliant from the guys at the depot, and the price is great, as long as you pick up and drop off yourself. Hence the 4 stars rating. I'm just posting some constructive specific feedback to help them improve the service to customers.

This is the second year I have used Crate Hire UK due to building works at our school. My contact Ben has always been very helpful and professional at all times. Service and efficiency excellent.
