It took nearly 4 months to complete a simple no mortgage, no chain cash purchase! Enquiries were dealt with slowly at times and it took some chasing up to get things moving, I believe if I hadn’t done this , things would have taken even longer !The conveyancing price was reasonable and the people I did speak with were polite . The online portal where you can check the status of your purchase shows we are 69% complete with our purchase, when in fact we completed a few months ago ?

Great service

It took 5 months to complete a cash purchase on an unoccupied property! If it wasn't for the fact that I phoned every few days to push them, I have no doubt it would have taken much longer. Poor communication and, when they made enquiries with the other solicitors, they seemed content to leave it with them for days on end instead of chasing it up when a reply was taking too long. Very poor service

Genuinely awful experience. Started off fine. The first person I spoke to, Dominic, was great. Then it all went down hill. I used mylawmatters for both the sale and purchase of a property. Was recommended them, but I could never recommend them to anyone. The responsiveness of my solicitor was terrible. The fact I am paying for a service and get an email saying *As discussed, unfortunately, we cannot update each and every client every week to say that there is no update on their file. This would be counterproductive*. If there is no update on a case in a week, something is wrong. I have to keep people updated weekly whether or not there is an update, a simple email or phone call to say there's been no progress is not a huge drama or thing to ask. The case took longer than it needed to. Responses were not regular. The amount of times I called my solicitor and actually got through to her, were around 5%. I called many times and either went to voicemail, or spoke to receptionist who "passed on my message". The generic response of have you tried phoning or emailing your solicitor...! Not going to name and shame here but if the rest of the solicitors are the same as my one which I can only imagine they are by the response of the other people working there, I wouldn't bother. If you want an unresponsive, slow, rude, unhelpful solicitors then go ahead and use MyLawMatters. If you'd like a solicitor to do what you ask them and pay them for, use someone else.

Painful experience lack of communication and a missed deadline
