Trustworthy and quick

First learned of Novatech in around 2004 when I was computer field and build technician. We used to purchase supplies wholesale through the company I worked for. I now personally purchase items from them for my own computer/s. A great trustworthy company that delivers on time and sends the right components. 👍🏻

Faultless Service

Poor service for a normally reliable company

I have been using Novatech on & off for well over 10 years. I had previously had no issues at all. However, on this occasion it appears they have changed how they do business and no longer have a quick turn around when ordering a bespoke desktop. The communication initially was really good, the person I spoke to was really helpful and understood my needs. It was after I had placed my order that things went wrong. I was informed the computer would be with me in 7 days and they had added, what they laughingly call next day delivery, at I believe £5.99 extra, I also asked if it was possible to speed the order up a little, and was told that he would make a note for the guys that carry out the build, so I would probably have it in around 5 days. Having placed and paid for my order on the 7th November, I received an email confirmation which showed part of my build was out of stock. I went back on the Novatech website on my account to check my order, which also showed a part was out of stock. I immediately phoned Novatech and the person I spoke to explained that this was because the part in question had been allocated to my build, and not to worry. After 6 days I called Novatech to see how things were going, and I was informed by a different person that they were waiting on the out of stock part to come in, to say I was shocked is a bit of an understatement, I was angry that this had happened and asked for an explanation. I had to chase this up again and the person that had originally taken the order was very apologetic. I asked if it was possible for a different part to be fitted to replace the out of stock part, he agreed this was possible and that he would sort this out at no extra cost, even though the part was £40 more, I would not be charged any extra, and he would waive the delivery charge. I accepted this as a reasonable compromise. When the computer was eventually delivered on the 23rd November it did not have the more expensive part as promised, and it arrived with the processor cooler fan loose inside the casing because it had clearly been handled inappropriately at some stage and fallen off it’s magnetic mounting. I googled what to do and reattached it myself, I am not sure if it is working though.
