DO NOT SELL WITH THIS COMPANY …
Would give zero stars if I could DO NOT SELL HERE! I dropped off over £5000 worth of items at their notting hill shop in August. After most of my items being sold by September. I had to chase them for MONTHS just to get a statement of the items which were sold and payment for my own items. They took over 6 months to pay me despite my items being sold for well over 5 months. All this time the money could have been collecting interest in a bank or returns in the market. They FINALLY paid me for most of items except for 2. The final 2 items I have emailed them twice for payment as they have long been sold and delivered for months. No response. It is now February 7 months later and I still am not recieving a response. Absolutely disgusting the fact I have to CHASE a company for my own payment. Imagine selling something through eBay and having to chase eBay to pay you. Never will I ever deal with this company. If I hadn't of chased them diligently they would have taken my items and never paid me. I have told them I will be pursuing legal action as they owe money and the interest is accumulating daily. Let's see if they will now respond. UPDATE: I have updated to 3 stars due to them paying the remainder of my items and actually acknowledging their mistakes. No company is perfect and at least they put it right. However it is disappointing after months and months of chasing only after I left a review was it fixed. However, at least it was fixed.
Don’t count on being paid quickly for items consigned and sold on CSD
In June 2023 I consigned to CSD Notting Hill branch over 50 items (including a Dior saddle bag). It seems that most of the items have been sold but I have yet to receive any payment at all, despite having chased repeatedly. I’ve been calling CSD customer care number +442077202000 and have been informed that their ‘Accounts Team doesn’t work from their Battersea HQ but remotely’ They all have me the standard answer that ‘the best they could go was to send a chaser email to the account department’. On the CSD website there is no information nor contact details of the account department. This is extremely poor service from a company that advertises its process as ‘selling made simple’. Allegedly consignors would ‘get paid usually 2-4 business days after your items are sold and the 14 day return window has expired.’ Clearly not in my case! I would appreciate a prompt response about when I will finally get paid. FOLLOW UP COMMENTS after CSD reply dated 13/02/2024: Dear CSD account team, I am really glad to have written my Trustpilot review above, because it is indeed thanks to this review that I FINALLY got a payment TODAY 13/02/2024. I will now review the CSD statement I received for the FIRST TIME today to check if indeed it corresponds to the complete list of what has been sold. I am glad there has been some action from CSD. Just a shame that I had to go public with my complaint on Trustpilot to finally get a response.
