I started out in the NHS but arranged a private consultation with Mr Maurino, as I wanted to give more consideration to which lens would be most appropriate to have fitted in a cataract operation on my right eye. I got good advice and felt under no pressure to continue privately but decided to do so, partly because I opted to have a Zeiss Trifocal IOL fitted. I was very anxious but during the assessment and the surgical procedure, Mr Maurino and the team at Moorfields inspired great confidence. Ana and Sue, the Practice Managers, did a great deal to reassure me and I felt in very safe hands with Mr Maurino during the procedure which did not hurt at all and wasn’t even uncomfortable, with light sedation. The results are superb. For the first time in two or three years, almost immediately, I could see without glasses, for distance, middle range and reading. I was initially a bit bothered by some light phenomena at the edge of my eye but these seem to have gone after a month. I fully recommend this highly professional and very expert service.

He was very re-assuring and his kind and easy manor greatly assisted in any trepidation i may have had. i have received lens replacement on both my eyes and also had my wife carry out with the same procedure. i have also had no hesitation in recommending Mr R.Kitchen who has also undergone the same lens replacement surgery. An operation with complete success and very effective outcome which has resulted in my vision being back to extremely good with no longer need to wear any glasses.
