Mr Maurino and his team were very professional and efficient, I felt I was in a safe pair of hands throughout. I was kept well informed about the procedure and have always received quick responses whenever I have had queries. I had always had severe myopia, around -10D; I have had 20/20 vision since the eye surgery in 2014. The procedure itself was relatively stress free. One of my eyes was operated on first and I was released from the clinic that day, and after waiting for three days I went in and got the other done. Peripheral vision was slightly blurry to begin with because of inflammation, but this clears up after the first few weeks. I have now completely forgot what it was like to wear glasses and contact lens!

I have already recommended Mr Maurino to my friends and family. I had cateract surgery on both eyes during the summer of 2018. Mr Maurino replaced my cloudy lenses with Zeiss Trifocal Toriq lenses to correct my significant shortsighedness and astigmatism. At my recent discharge appointment my eyesight was measured as 20/20 with both eyes and I am able to read small print without glasses. My operations each lasted about 20 mins and went so smoothly, I did not realise when they were finished. Absolutly no pain or discomfort during the operations! My eyes were uncomfortable for 2-3 days afterwards then felt normal. My vision did take about a fortnight to settle before I was able to appreciate the full effect of the surgery. I did have 2 small complications which slightly delayed my recovery. Dry eyes and a reaction to the post operation drops. Mr Maurino sorted out both problems very quickly to my satisfaction. I now have excellent vision which I am sure is due to the skill and care taken by Mr Maurino .Overall I am really happy with the outcome and have no hesitation in recommending Mr Maurino and his team. Awesome surgeon! Very scared to have my one 'good' eye operated on - if anything went wrong it could have been disastrous. He was helpful and considerate before the operation, calming, reassuring and very professional just prior to going to theatre for the operation and afterwards. His surgery has been a complete success and I am over the moon.
