Terrible after sales care for faulty car seat…

We have experienced terrible after sales service from NBS. We purchased a car seat from them which then broke. We asked for a refund to which we were told they don’t offer refunds and that we have to return the car seat to be repaired. After some extremely protracted conversations due to lack of respondence and lack of inability to copy in my husband who would be around for collecting the car seat we received a loan car seat. The broken car seat was finally picked up and NBS confirmed it was sent for repair on 3rd December. Our four year old daughter is not used to the loan car seat which uses a belt rather than a 5 point harness. Not only is it less safe but she finds it very uncomfortable and it makes her distressed in the car. We had a 5 hour car journey to Newcastle for Christmas and therefore told NBS the car seat needed to be back by 15th December for the journey. We were told repairs take 3-4 working days therefore it should have been back 9th December. It is now 20th December and we still have not received the car seat and have had to drive to Newcastle with an extremely uncomfortable child for 5 hours. I have requested a refund as I have understandably run out of patience but am being ignored. If you value your time do not buy from NBS. The amount of hours I have wasted emailing and chasing to get nowhere is quite unfathomable. For a company that prides itself of being family friendly we have had to force our daughter to endure an unnecessarily uncomfortable journey not to mention that the 5 point car seat belt of our own car seat is safer than the loan car seat they provided.

Really screwed me over at Christmas

Really screwed me over at Christmas. I ordered two presents for my kids (2 and 3yo) — only after placing the order (on the 8th Dec) I’m informed that the items are actually on back order until the 15th December… but we’re visiting family from the 20th so won’t be home. I inform them of this and they said “don’t worry, we’ll send it next day in plenty of time for Christmas” — one package arrived (with one item from that being delayed but that’s fine, it’s only small) — so one kid gets a present at Xmas. The other, however, may not because after the date lapsed, I called their customer service who apologies and assured me they’d be able to change the address to the location I’d be, but now I’m here I get a ping from my doorbell (back at home) of the package being delivered to the wrong address. One angry email, and this review, I’m hoping someone calls me tomorrow and actually sorts my order out so both my kids can get a present this year. Usually good service (albeit not the quickest delivery), but this has really tarnished my view of the company.

I ordered a Tonies starter kit for my son for Christmas and was informed that one of the characters had not appeared in the delivery they were expecting so they had asked me to pick another which I did but was then informed the original character had actually arrived unexpectedly so they could fulfil the order and it was sent out the next day. Very happy with the service received and communication throughout, especially at this time of year.

Ordered Tonies box and set of Tonies…

Ordered Tonies box and set of Tonies figures for 2 year old granddaughter's Christmas. All in stock. Several reassuring phone calls and chats online later, was told will not arrive until after New Year. I am furious. Purchased from Amazon for a little bit more and arrived already. Will never purchase from this company again.
