Disappointed with Direction Law
Disappointed with Direction Law - poor service and communication. Made a number of basic mistakes that caused a lot of stress and delays to us in our house purchase. Very poor communication and attention to detail. They need to be far more customer focused and improve their service 26.9.22 - Further to Direction Law reply - the issues with awaiting mortgage approval delays would not have happened if our documents had been checked and they had spotted error in their address on the paperwork . Even completion did not run smoothly. - typo / error in completion statement calculation and on completion day had email to confirm completion followed by text 30 mins later to say not yet happened - all in all very stressful and disappointing

Emma Evans at Direction Law
Emma Evans at Direction Law has been amazing, she has been very professional and has made things move forward as quickly and smoothly as possible. She couldn’t do enough to help me. Thankyou very much!
No proper communication
No proper communication. I had to chase everything myself every day. If you call, their secretary just mumum around and doesn't even know the real stage of your case. Our seller decided to drop us because of passive reply from direction law. We had to change to another solicitor immediately and start all over to not lose our house after they delayed our very straight forward case for 4 months. And they ask you to pay full amount.
Efficient and professional
Hands down the most efficient, professional and speedy service I have ever received from any solicitors. The teams is available to answer any questions, you receive regular updates on your case, and the price is very reasonable. Would definitely recommend.

Lack of communication
Used Direction Law for conveyancing on the advice of our mortgage brokers. Unfortunately, communication has been spotty - with the receipt of important documents and even our mortgage deposit not being acknowledged until chased. Even now, having paid our mortgage deposit and - to the best of our knowledge - completed all the required paperwork, we have yet to hear from them regarding an exchange date. It is pretty embarrassing and frustrating to be in the position of holding up a sale because your conveyancer can't act without being prodded/reminded of your existence. When it came to the usual work - getting searches done, getting documents to us, working out stamp duty etc. - this was done efficiently. They also dealt with our questions regarding the stamp duty quickly, and up until the midway point I was happy with the service. Once we actually signed on the dotted line, so to speak, I felt a distinct change. It felt almost like, once they were satisfied they were going to be able to bill us the full amount, we dropped to the bottom of the priority list. Also, quite frustrating as joint buyers to have to constantly request that we are both copied into emails. One notable time, instead of being copied into an email, my partner's email was added to the subject line. I'm not sure if this was ever caught by the person sending the email. Quite funny, but annoying too.
