This is such a good concept
This is such a good concept. My only problem was that I had pictures on my mobile, laptop and later additions from family members. Did I miss advice/tips? I don’t know, but I now know it would help to have all my photos on my phone and preferably in order.

Avoid ordering glossy calendar
I have created Photobox calendars for more than 15 years and this is the first year I have been left disappointed. I bought the glossy calendar, not realising that it meant the calendar would no longer be functional. You can't write on it without the ink separating so you can scarcely make out the words. I've tried sharpies, white board pens and normal biros, same issue for all. Contemplating reordering another one as I know this will bother me for the next year! That being said, the photos do look beautiful however it seems a bit daft to sell calendars that you can't write on... Additionally, I paid extra for speedy delivery and it was two days late, so feel like I ended up with Standard Delivery despite the extra cost. Finally, please bring back the Photo Dates. They were so lovely and it's a pest that you can't do that anymore 😔

I am looking for an alternative to Photobox
The Photobox website is unituitive and the photobook product is less customisable than previously. The requirement for the same product going to different addresses to be on different orders and so not benefit from the bulk discount is verging on criminal. That behaviour would definitely not be tolerated in a regulated industry.

A problem solved
The first puzzle was missing 3 pieces but after contacting photobox they got another one sent out with haste which was complete so originally a problem but they put it right.

Disappointing Text in Small Photobook
Dear Photobox Team, I greatly appreciated the photos in the wee book you printed last month. BUT...... I was disappointed: 1) that the text I had provided for each picture was un-readable at less than 1.00 mm height- and 2) that the frequently advertised statement that 'extra pages' would be free was NOT true - and I was charged significantly. I realise that this may have happened because I clocked in direct to 'Photobox' rather than responding to one of the adverts. I do like these wee photo books which I produce every year - but I hope sincerely that next Christmas will not be as disappointing as this past one. Kind regards Helen Zealley

Superb product and service.
I ordered a large book: 120 pages XL for my mother’s 80th birthday featuring 400 photographs from her life. The quality of the book and the customer service have been excellent.

Defective binding in A3 photobook
I have been using Photobox happily for many years now to produce a huge number of photo books. The quality of their products has been very good up until my most recent experience, which has left me extremely disappointed and frustrated. My latest photobook (A3 size with 102 pages) had serious quality problems with the page binding (as the pages started to come out as soon as you turned them) and the page layout, as some photos had been cropped too much during production. I spoke to customer services who were very helpful and said they would send a new reprinted version. However, the second version has exactly the same problems and the page binding split as soon as the book was opened and the pages fell out. I don't know what has gone wrong with Photobox's production processes and quality control, but having a photobook whose pages you can't turn for fear that they all fall out is not fit for purpose. So now i'm left with 2 useless photobooks which I spent hours editing and a sense of enormous disappointment. Update: As Photobox don't actually want to address the real problems, I've taken the books to a professional book binder and they have told me that there is very little, if any, glue holding the pages together, so it's no wonder that they have fallen out. This is a basic and essential part of the book binding process and clearly something which was not picked-up, possibly due to a lack of quality control. Will not be using Photobox anymore.

Disappointing range of print sizes
My experience of making cards and calendars before Christmas was very good but getting prints of my favourite pictures, more recently, less so. The range of print sizes available has been drastically reduced - nothing bigger than 8 x 6 inches now and no 8 x 8 square prints, disappointing as I have lots of frames and mounts in larger sizes. I was able to replace 8 x 8 inch square prints with 20 x 20 cm posters which were OK but not ideal. Why on earth are photos measured in inches and posters in centimetres? - crazy and confusing. The process of ordering prints is very basic and no editing seems to be possible - I could find no way of moving the crop box when pictures were of the wrong dimensions, cropping from one end seems to be the only option which is hardly ideal. The finished products were of good quality and were dispatched quickly but I'll have to go elsewhere if the range isn't improved,
