Very professional and addressed my concerns

DO NOT RENT. FirstKey homes cause health issues. In May 2024 a FirstKey home in Georgia, USA that I was staying in experienced septic/sewage back up causing the two toilets in the house to overflow with raw sewage that leaked into the hallways and master bedroom/closet as well through the carpet/baseboard underneath the house to the slab. This sewage was not disenefected and new carpeting was just placed over the dry soiled baseboard. We had to pay to have mold/sewage inspectors to come run tests that showed the sewage bacteria in the house was far beyond the habitable amount. This sewage bacteria caused us to come down with a slew of respiratory issues that we are still dealing with having since moved from that house. Detailed reports can be provided upon request. Situations like these can be easily avoided if companies like FirstKey actually do maintenance on the homes they own before moving new families into them, however they do not care about the quality of the home only that they can rent it. Once this occurred FirstKey was notified, and we stayed in a hotel until the issue was fixed. We stayed in the hotel starting at the end of May 2024 until the beginning of July 2024. During the time at the hotel, we charged rent by FirstKey for a home that was inhabitable, and we have not been reimbursed for the cost of staying in the hotel. Once we notified that the "repairs" were completed in the beginning of July we started to experience various respiratory issues. These issues not only affected us, but our pets as well. This caused us to have a professional inspect the mold/sewage bacteria levels in the house. Upon completion of that test, it was determined that the sewage bacteria levels in the house were far beyond the habitable threshold. Again, the detailed reports can be provided upon request. At this time, we are still waiting for a resolution from FirstKey from this experience. We have moved everything that was not soiled in the house, however a majority of the items had to be left in the house as they were soiled with sewage bacteria. Please do not rent from FirstKey Homes. Yhen understood the reason for my call. I haven't had a working Heater in nearly 10 days. We ate in the teens and twenties. It's cold and I can't even sleep on.my bed. The room is 50 degrees at best. My little floor heaters are working overtime in the living room and I sleep on the sofa. My power bill went up by $113 and I am concerned about the next one as well. Electric heat costs a lot more than gas. She gave me the number to resident services and submitted a second escalation request with a portable heater to also be delivered to assist. She also acknowledged the death of my son and was compassionate. I told her that I am grieving and freezing. I shouldn't have to be doing both.
