Appalling customer service

Appalling customer service. Lawnmower broke down for the second time in a year. The second rate courier company they use eventually collected the machine and since then nothing. No response to emails and when I call and give the details, nothing happens and the line dies. It's been over one month since I reported the fault and I am still without the machine. RDM

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY

Purchased a mower (HYM40LI420SP) for just over £300 at the end of Sept 21 (order#200003972) . Earlier this year it became troublesome to start - more often than not it didn't start and then would suddenly kick in intermittently. In warranty period so reported to Genpower 14th April (re 164108) . Waited over a month for them to send a plastic button cover (not the problem), followed by some more useless bits of plastic. Eventually they arranged to collect the mower for repair Tues 13th June. It was not collected, and the tracking supplied did not work. Contacted them several times since but my emails are being ignored. So after appx 40 emails back & forth, several photos and videos, and several days waiting for a collection that never happened...I've got absolutely nowhere. I have found I cannot do a chargeback because I paid by Paypal and it is outside their time limits. I shall be issuing a county court summons in 7 days if no satisfactory solution is received. Update - within 15mins of posting this I miraculously get an email reply...only offering to arrange another collection...hmmm not really a satisfactory solution from my perspective. To be clear, a satisfactory solution would be a new mower, or a full refund by Friday 23rd June.

The first vacuum was faulty and had to be returned. The process was slow as it required the product to be mailed back and checked for faults before a new vacuum was sent out. The vacuum is not a great product due to a very poor hose. The hose has a narrow bore which gets blocked very easily, not ideal for the industrial nature of the product. The stainless suction pipe, although extendable, is too short and requires the user to stoop. The built in tool sockets only works with higher rated power tools, this is not made clear in the description, for example my dewalt mitre does not activate the automatic feature.

Vibrates massively

I have a large garden and the mower handles it quite well. Having the four speeds helps however there are a couple of niggling issues... it vibrates quite bad, changed the blade (bought from hyundai) as read the blade could be out of balance. This didn't solve the issue. With the machine vibrating I've lost over a few mows the screws holding the belt cover in the cut deck (replaced twice) and the bolts for the handle come loose during mowing. I've had the mower checked professionally and they couldn't find a fault. Only recommendation was to contact hyundai as it could be the engine itself. I'm still waiting for a reply from them!

Second to none for efficiency

Very pleased to talk to someone straight away, listened about the fault with the equipment and resolved the problem in a few minutes. Next day I was informed that a replacement part was being sent out, that’s how a guarantee should work, very rare nowadays
