The response helped greatly to understand which information can be made available and which information is retained within the company. The person helping me with my enquiries was very helpful (Soureshna) with their replies and has helped to move my project report along.

Avoid this company at all cost ordered…

Avoid this company at all cost ordered a jet wash that was £390 with 3 year warranty one year later with little use the bolts in pump sheared off contacted them about it they made it as difficult as possible to return saying it would need to be in a secure box same size as delivered in or strapped to a pallet with all. Accessories if damaged in transit that would be my fault then If they decide when returned it’s not manufacturing fault I would be charged for postage labour and parts they then decided the bolts have weathered and therefore its user error and not covered by warranty so i have to spend another £90 for a pump and fix myself and it just so happens the only supplier I could find was them really not happy any will never buy equipment from them again

We purchased 2 Hyundai Hedge trimmer…

We purchased 2 Hyundai Hedge trimmer HYHT2600X in june24 they have never worked very well only 2-3 minutes when cutting sides of hedge as it need small fuel tank to be full all the time as when used 20mm of tank fuel it then stops working I believe it to be a design fault as float not move to fuel but then sucks air.Genpower states NO fault. AT 4 months old sent back to genpower for fuel stoppage received NO reports untill I contacted them this week when they said NO Fault and NO Warrenty they did later agree to return FOC courier . MY statement is hedge cutters are NOT FIT for purpose to work on hedges DO NOT BUY as a waste of money and poor/limited warrenty Doubleday

Horror Story

Purchased, not together but fairly closely, Hyundai brushcutter & multitool. After not a lot of use both failed on the same day in May 2024, both within guarantee Returned to Genpower & allegedly repaired. Not one jot better. Genpower contacted, endless emails, most of which were ignored, finally once again returned. Much time elapsed, many emails to Genpower, mostly ignored, entreaty to CEO also ignored. Eventually multitool returned. Brushcutter retained with utterly unconvincing reasons as to why. Part refund offered & accepted which was received after considerable delay. Genpower agreed to re-examine Multitool & return carriage arranged. Three subsequent dates given for same, none honoured, yet more emails, mostly ignored & finally again offered part refund & myself to scrap faulty machine. Agreed circa December 2024. Now going into February 2025, many more emails to Genpower, still no settlement & no explanation. Now retired, ran small manufacturing business most of working life & in all that time I have never encountered a company as awful as Genpower. Would advise anyone to never even drive past this place & if ever offered complimentary pencil or whatever, with Hyundai written on it, throw straight into the bin. Appalling firm & junk product. If you find this hard to believe, it is all evidenced. No copyright claimed on this, if wider circulation helps some poor souls, anyone feel free! Update, Pleased to say that following this Trustpilot review, I was speedily contacted by the utterly courteous Rukshal, from Genpower Support & equally pleased to record his efficiency was commensurate & this wretched matter is now resolved.

Poonam Shanto in AfterSales handled my query very efficiently and promptly arranged for the early dispatch of a missing cable clip for my Hyundai mower. Although this was only a minor item and probably worth less than £1.00, she still took the time and trouble to send me the tracking details for it. Probably a bit of overkill, but outstanding service and appreciated all the same. Good job, thank you.

AVOID: Unable to fulfil the role of an Agent

This company claims to be the UK agent for Scheppach. In April 2024, I ordered and paid for a new motor for my Scheppach bandsaw. After months of frustrating follow-ups, the motor finally arrived in September 2024—damaged, due to inadequate packing. I returned it, only for a second motor to arrive in December 2024, also damaged for the exact same reason. At this point, I was advised to return the motor for a full refund and to source a replacement motor myself. However, as I’m not an expert, identifying a compatible alternative proved impossible. Left with little choice, I glued the broken plastic cover of the damaged motor and installed it on the bandsaw. Unfortunately, the motor won’t start without a manual push due to a faulty starting capacitor. Once manually started, it runs fine. I am now purchasing a replacement capacitor for £15 and plan to install it myself. As compensation, the company offered £30 along with profuse—but ultimately hollow—apologies. Alternatively, I could return the motor for a full refund and scrap the bandsaw altogether. In summary, I strongly advise against using this company. I certainly won’t be dealing with them again.
