My wife and I used Armishaw removals…
My wife and I used Armishaw removals last week to relocate from South Wales to Wiltshire and they were absolutely first class. From the moment we made contact, to negotiating with Chris the Sales Manager the whole experience was extremely professional and we were dealt with the upmost courtesy and respect. Chris was fantastic! Darryn and Kyle, the two removal men were just brilliant in carrying out their duties. Nothing was too much trouble. They are an asset to your company and great Ambassadors for your business. My wife and I felt on occasions they went above and beyond the normal service and went out of their way to help ease the process and stress of moving. They were the consummate professionals! Whilst I was a little disappointed with the cost of the removal, having to accept Stamp Duty Holiday payments coming to an end, had encouraged all removal companies to seize the opportunity!! Nonetheless we were pleased we engaged the services of Armishaw. So A big thank you to all at the company
Pitiful handling of a potential customer by a Sales Manger
I contacted Overs / Armishaws as part of planning my home move to Devon (from Surrey). We are 4-5 weeks from moving at the end of June (the target move date), which we fully appreciate is likely to be one of the busiest periods for completions (and therefore moving companies) possibly in UK property history. I contacted them by phone, the person that initially dealt with me was spot on - advised that their availability was very limited, and that she would get me an initial indicative cost before booking a survey of my current property. She called back promptly and we moved onto booking the survey. The surveyor turned up promptly and was very helpful. After reviewing our property he processed the calculations he needed and confirmed Armishaws availability on the dates we asked for, the associated logistics, and the price. Spot on to this point. Very soon after the survey / home visit, I emailed Armishaws asking for a copy of their Terms and Conditions which I wanted to review and familiarise myself with before booking, particularly the terms around costs associated with having to potentially postpone dates if anything unexpected happened to our move. There was nothing else in my email to the company other than thanking their surveyor, and requesting a copy of their Ts & Cs. The response I received from their Sales Manager was... unexpected. I quote "The complexity of your move i.e. the tranship at destination means we do not have capacity for the move on the busiest days in Removals History due to the stamp duty. I understand you have had or are having numerous quotes, if you will take my advise IF ANYONE can do the move snatch their hands off I am afraid you are not in a position to negotiate in these unprecedented times." Whilst I fully appreciate that trying to book movers during what is possibly going to be one of the busiest periods of the year for moving will limit options and carry additional complexities and costs, I'm stunned that a company that is as highly rated as Armishaws claim to be, with history and experience as extensive as they describe in their material, can take a position like this Sales Manager has with a potentially new customer willing to pay the costs they quoted. So whilst his email does provide honest advice, his "bed-side manner" was appalling in my opinion. So, I won't trouble this firm with my business. Instead, I've booked another firm that was 15% more costly then Armishaws quoted me (and I felt Armishaws quote was already high when I compared to two other quotes i already had, though those quotes were from smaller firms). When I asked my (now booked) movers for their Ts and Cs before I made the booking, they emailed me a hyperlink to the relevant section on their website, and pointed out a copy of the same were included in the written quote they supplied electronically. Basic stuff really. In my opinion, a pitiful handling of a potential customer by an Armishaws Sales Manger, a job role that ought to know better.
Downsizing
Excellent removals experience on a two day local move in Somerset, on a major downsize. Despite hail the removals men, did a fantastic job, and kept a sense of humour throughout. Nothing was too much trouble putting things where we wanted them in various sheds when we arrived. Toby and Ben made the experience SO much more fun, and less stressful. Cannot recommend them too highly. The office experience was perfectly satisfactory and helpful.
Excellent service from Armishaws on my recent long distances move
Excellent service from Armishaws on my recent long distant moved. The whole experience was so professional and the guys that moved us were amazing and an absolutely pleasure to have around! Not one damaged item, everything was handled with such care. Would highly recommend.
Big Commercial premises move from central London to Somerset
We were recommended Armishaws for a large, rather complicated commercial move from London to Somerset. They were the only moving company that responded to our request for movers and made the whole thing painless, from the setting up of the parking suspensions in central London to the reversing down our bumpy countryside drive here in Somerset. Extremely friendly on the phone and a can-do attitude means I will be using them for my domestic move later this year. They are a pair of safe hands and I can happily recommend them.
Good efficient friendly service
Good efficient friendly service. The guys worked hard and completed the job in good time. If we ever move again would use your company again.

Great team of guys for the day who were excellent throughout. Only minor whinge was the damage to the garage door which must have happened right at the very end. That doesn't in anyway detract from the 5* rating.

Very poor do not maintain communication, false promises of delivery
