Deceptive & Bad Change in Policies

I started using Stately in Jan. of 2024 after receiving a code for a free item in 3 boxes. I chose the Luxe plan, which I believe is their lowest priced tier at $180 that comes with 4+ items. Initially, I was enjoying Stately -- I thought the pieces they sent were nice and typically fit well. I only needed to exchange a few pieces from my first 2 boxes, which were done quickly and with no charge. After 2 boxes, however, I decided to "pause" my subscription because I was not in the market for new clothes. Their policy on "pausing" is deceptive though, so please be careful. Like a movie, I assumed "pausing" meant the subscription would stay paused until I resumed it, not Stately. However, to my surprise with no email or prior warning, I received a charge for a third box several months later. When I tried to dispute this with Stately, they informed me their pause only lasts a few months and they will resume your subscription without the customer's consent. They refused to cancel the order (even though it takes 2 weeks to fulfill) or give me my money back. The cherry on top is the ONLY WAY to actually pause your account indefinitely is to cancel -- which you can only do through emailing their customer service that takes DAYS to respond. Now I have a box I did not want with half of the items not fitting, only to learn that their exchange policy as of Aug. 2024 has been changed to include a $14.99 FEE if you do not have an active plan... their excuse: "because we can't send the exchange in your next box." Very poor change in policy and a total money grab tactic through subscriptions & difficulty canceling, very similar to the gym model. I will avoid Stately in the future.

If I could give stately 0 stars, I would. This is a full on deceptive company that attempts to lock you into a subscription service even when their clothes don’t fit. I’ve purchased two boxes from them and have a total of four items that fit. I’m trying to obtain a refund because the “exchange items” they sent were ridiculously small for me. I’ve pleaded my case only to be told 1) stately doesn’t offer refunds, and 2) when you cancel your subscription, you’re going to have to pay 14.95 for any exchanges. This is dishonest and disgusting. At least if you’re going to force me to keep 1k worth of clothing, they should at least cover the cost of getting it right for their client. This feels like a fraudulent Facebook marketplace item instead of a responsible company. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE UNLESS YOU WANT TO GET SCREWED.

This business is horrible

This business is horrible. I had an issue with the email address that I originally registered with, and I needed to update the email on my account. Evidently, you can't do that. They did tell me that they would give that information to my "Curator" so that they could contact me if needed. So all receipts and correspondence were sent to an obsolete email address. ... They finally send me my package. It had nothing that I had requested in it. The clothes were all mid-to-low quality clothing that did not fit properly. After all of my frustration, I find out that I have to PAY $14.99 to exchange the clothes unless I waited to get the exchange in my next box. WHAT???? That is not what their website says. It is not mentioned anywhere... I decided that I did not want their service because I had not been given what I asked for, and there had just been too many issues with my email account and the poor selection of clothes. They informed me that their new policy (which actually was just updated last week) does not allow refunds. They told me that they would gladly exchange the items, but since I was not going to be getting another box from them, I would have to pay the $14.99 fee for all exchanges. IT'S A SCAM!!!! DON'T DO IT!!!! By the way, any interaction you try to have with them is stated to get a response sometime within 48 hours... WOW! You call, and a machine just answers, gives the hours of business, and says if it is during working hours, you should leave a message and they should try to contact you within 48 hours... they never answer the phone. From my experience, this is all you ever get when you call. It should also be noted that they are not accredited through the Better Business Bureau. I now understand why, but I do not know what else I can do about this.

Horrible company

Horrible company. They are charging me and will not issue a refund. Did not provide proper notification. Will not reverse the charges. (Still waiting for full refund and for them to make this right. 9/8/2024).

This was such an easy process. Additionally, the stylist nailed it with the box sent. Something I would not normally purchase, but absolutely loved the way everything looked on me. Very excited for my next box.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I subscribed to Stately Men about 10 months ago, and it’s been a game-changer for my wardrobe! As someone who’s always on the go, I love the convenience of having new, stylish outfits delivered to my door each month. The clothing quality is superb, and the styles are always fresh and on-trend. The pieces fit perfectly and make me look sharp without the hassle of shopping. Stately Men has taken the guesswork out of fashion, allowing me to always step out in confidence. Highly recommend!

Wardrobe Upgrade

Great deal, they put how much you saved overall with the value of the items versus what you paid. They hit the mark on what I wanted and they've been very communicative through the entire process. I edited my preferences before I got my first box, and they actually listened!
