Great sevice.

Survey was carried out at the time given. It was very comprehensive and the surveyor rang me to discuss the report and gave me some good advice. I would definitely recommend them.

Possibly the worst firm I have ever dealt with

Pinnacle were instructed to perform a valuation of a property I own for a re mortgage. On arriving the valuer told me he was only there to confirm a house existed (really professional and making a joke of the entire industry they work in!) and then when the valuation came back it was £0 due to proximity to high speed rail (the house is close to a proposed maintenance line of HS2 but this would only be used occasionally and limited to 50km/h). I have appealed the valuation 3 times through the lender and each time they have come back with a different excuses that have been at times factually inaccurate and show they have done little to no research. After the latest evidence was provided proving that many sales have been made since HS2 was announced and at similar prices they have given a value of £90,000 now (around 10% below market value) but included too many caveats for a mortgage lender to use the value. Appalling lack of knowledge and research and a quick scan down the other reviews here show they have a history of giving low values, presumably so people have to look at other lenders and they may get another valuation fee out of it. I tried speaking to the company directly but as I wasn't there direct client (the mortgage company is) they won't even discuss the basics of the valuation with me. As it stands they are making large amounts of properties unmortgage able due to the proposed HS2 routes some of which are on hold until at least 2024-25.

Very professional

From the initial phone contact to the final written report and subsequent discussion this was a thoroughly professional and efficient process. The only slight hiccup (hence 4 stars rather than 5) was a delay of a couple of days in receiving the report once it had been written due to "problems in the office".

Good survey, no issues

I had no issues. Polite and went through all the findings with me. I requested at 4:40pm if I could chat with the surveyor who did the survey & I then got a phonecall back at 5ish the same day so that was good. Went through stuff I didn't understand, rough costs to sort stuff,how difficult it would be to sort it out. Found structural movement in property which led to us pulling from sale so potentially saved us a lot of money.
