Want to say thank you to Mr Sephton

Want to say thank you to Mr Sephton, for his patience and help. He conducted a building survey for us and as we are first time buyers, we had a lot of questions. He patientily answered each one, and went above and beyond to help us understand, by explaining what the terms mean, what it would involve to fix it, what to look for when we do get someone to fix it to make sure its done properly! Just outstanding customer service, friendly and helpful. I kept him on the call for 30 minutes while i went through 60 questions on my spreadsheet and he was incredibly patient and understanding throughout, though it was friday at 4pm, after he probably had answered some of these to my partner before. I came on the call completely confused and lost, and left fully aware of what the house needs and how to go about it. Along with knowing the urgency of each issue, who is responsible to fix it, how to fix it and rough idea of costs for it, tips and tricks of best way to combine the work needed to save us money and knowledge of how houses are built, understanding of history of issues and how to prevent it from happening again. I cannot thank him enough and already plan to contact him again to help us keep the house condition and value going up. Happy customer here, well done and thank you! Alexandra and Alasdair

I let this surveyor into my home

I let this surveyor into my home. He was hostile and unfriendly, despite this I let him get on with it. I have now discovered he has down valued our home; stating the value is considered to be high and is not supported by evidence of sales of comparable properties in the locality. He 'obviously' did not do his homework due to very recent sales of comparable properties (less than 5 doors away). We had already accepted a substantially lower offer from our buyer to get the sale moving. Our buyer now cannot get the mortgage approved so this house sale will fall through. I will never let this surveyor or this company into my home ever again!

Great service, detailed report.

I bought my home two years ago and was really impressed with the homeowners report produced by Edward. It was extremely detailed and clear and I still reference it frequently when undertaking home repairs. Communication with the office has been clear and Edward helped answer all the questions I had. Great service.

Due to not being able to comment back…

Due to not being able to comment back to your generic answer I have to leave another review. I offered you alternative house prices in the area but the surveyor was not interested, the couple buying our house even tried to call you to say you had UNDERVALUED it as house prices in the area are a lot higher than your valuation. The buyers had a different company come and amazing they valued the house at what the estate agents of 25 years had valued it at. Thanks for wasting my time.
