you can never really know how good your insurance company is until you need them. i started my journey with TT feeling very confident as they marketed themselves towards backpackers, but how that's all come to fall apart.. if you make any bookings while you're in the UK you're not covered for curtailment. the FCO must advise against ALL travel, not just all but essential travel. if you decide to go through with the trip, you be covered up ONLY if you get it from them in writing. if you're stuck in quarantine, tough luck. for cancellations, even if you choose their longest policy of 18 months, you are only covered a grand total of one (1) time. and it goes on. small details that are easy to gloss over, designed to trip you up. make no mistake, this is an insurance company just like any other. they are no different. they are not your friends no matter how they market themselves. they're out to protect their own interests before anything else. i paid the extra premiums because i thought i was getting a higher level of cover. i will never purchase a policy or add on from them ever again. also, stop hanging up on your customers. if it's a case of the call dropping accidentally i'd expect customer service to call their customers back after sitting on hold for ages. and reader, please take the positive reviews that were all posted in quick succession with a fistful of salt. -------------------------------------------- EDIT: my last correspondence with TrueTraveller was 6 months ago. They messaged me on Trustpilot within 10 minutes of the review going live (that same day I was on hold to get through to their phone lines for over an hour - priorities!). What followed was a series of behind the scene attempts from True Traveller - not to address the complaints, but to actually BULLY and INTIMIDATE me into removing my review, apparently because they "could not verify who I was or if the review was genuine". Trustpilot investigated this and the review was validated, and rather than TrueTraveller to engage in good faith with all the issues I detailed to them in our private correspondence, they threw their toys out of the pram and said they would no longer be using Trustpilot for reviews (seen below). Ironically not long after this a slew of suspiciously short and positive reviews were posted to this site. I have screenshots of all the correspondence and am considering sharing them to Google, their approach was really that appalling that 6 months later I'm still upset. Unfortunately, reader, my experience with this company in my time of need has been very poor. They have lacked respect, integrity and compassion in their dealings with me and frankly I'm disgusted by their conduct.

Avevo questa assicurazione già da un anno, dato che mi hanno proposto il rinnovo con il 10% di sconto, ho colto l'occasione per rinnovare di un altro anno. Fortunatamente non ho mai avuto bisogno di usarla e quindi non posso giudicarli in merito a come si comportano in casi pratici. Al momento tutto ok. Mi riservo di modificare la votazione o di riconfermarla in futuro

Easy online service, flexible and good level of cover. The policy is more expensive than with some other providers but superior in terms of cover (for example, it automatically includes transiting through a third country). One of the few providers who continue to cover against Coronavirus. Highly satisfied and will use again.

Straightforward and really clear process for getting travel insurance whilst already travelling. I was really pleased with the service.

I think one of the best insurances for people who travel for more than a couple of months. Very affordable and covers the essentials. Highly recommend.
