Artisan dark chocolate bar
Beautifully packaged single origin chocolate. I have just tasted the 70% Honduras. The aroma was very inviting and the bar had a lovely snap. A really smooth mouth feel with cherry (maybe even kirsch) notes. Needs to be taken slowly which was quite a challenge!

Rococo single origin dark chocolate bars.
I was recently sent three bars of Rococo, single origin dark chocolate to try. What a treat! The anticipation of eating the chocolate is only heightened by the beautiful blue and white packaging printed with french chocolate moulds. The bars inside the wrapping are conserved in an inner foil wrapping , and it is when you open this that the smell of the contents hits you, really divine. I started with the 100% Vietnam, I think this was my favourite. It smells amazing, chocolatey and fruity. in fact you only need to sniff it to get your chocolate hit. It is very smooth to eat with a pleasant tangy sour note. i have been using this either to just nibble or grated over my breakfast yoghurt. Both the Papua New Guinea (72%) and the Peru (70%), have a pleasant earthy smell of cocoa butter. The Papua New Guinea and Peru were both delicious but if I were to choose, the Peru is my favourite, it seemed more complex and fruitier. The chocolate bars are magnificent eaten solo, however, I have converted my OH to excellent dark chocolate by making water ganache truffles with some of it!

Comforting, like a much loved teddy bear! How chocolate should be
Rococo Chocolate Bars are beautifully presented in blue and white recyclable cardboard clearly marked as vegan, which is a huge plus! Whilst the cocoa is single estate, sourced from exotic far flung areas of the globe, the chocolate is proudly made in Great Britain and will make a more than acceptable indulgent present or treat to include in a birthday, thank-you or Christmas card. The pack clearly details the origin of cocoa along with tasting notes by Rococo's Head Chocolatier, which gives the consumer a taste (pardon the pun) of what to expect. I have tried three bars. Each of them different. All of them stunning. It was extremely hard to single one out as a 'favourite' as they are all beautifully crafted bars of really excellent chocolate. But I did find one that really exceeded my expectation and left me wanting more, more MORE! PERU 70% Smelt very rich, citrusy and nutty as the pack was opened. The chocolate was smooth with sharp acidic tones which melted gorgeously in my mouth with a smooth, soft velvety finish which left a slightly bitter 'roasted' aftertaste which was most unusual but very nice. PAPUA NEW GUINEA 72% OMG! Just one word ..... sublime! As the chocolate was opened there was a very comforting, intriguing fragrance, like a much loved teddy bear! The delicious chocolate melted very softly with hints of hay, straw and flower filled meadows The sumptuous aftertaste was luxurious and full of childhood memories of how good, high quality chocolate used to be. Without doubt this was the winner for me. It was completely exquisite. VIETNAM 100% It smelt very fruity, like slightly under-ripe grapes. The chocolate gave a more brittle 'snap' when broken. The taste dived straight into a slightly sour hint with a big hit of liquorice. It took longer to melt in the mouth with a long aftertaste of soft green limes. I think this will really appeal to 'hardcore' lovers of dark chocolate who will appreciate the intense complex tastes that today's mass produced chocolate can only dream of.

Start with the elegant blue and white
The minute you see the elegant blue and white Rococo Chocolates card wrapping, you know you have something special. The tasting notes and the story of the cocoa beans on the back are clear and detailed then, there is the treat of breaking off a segment and tasting for yourself. I enjoyed the 100% cocoa mass Vietnam as a dainty and intense hot chocolate drink, while the Peru and Honduran - both 70% - really deliver the promised fruity and nutty flavours with a very smooth texture. The bars make perfect presents for taste and style plus they are vegan and made in GB.

Rococo single origin bars
We have recently been able to try the 3 single origin Rococo Bars. 100% Vietnam, 70% Peru and 70% Honduras. All 3 Bars are packed in a premium cover and look high quality. We Tried the Vietnam 100% first as I adore high % dark chocolate for me it was superb but my wife found it too strong. The other 2 bars are very similar in flavour and are very smooth and silky to eat. 3 excellent products from a quality company!

Rococo's Single Origin chocolate bars are an absolute delight
We have recently tried Rococo's Single Origin bars, Vietnam, Peru and Honduras. Being high percentage cocoa solids we were pleasantly surprised to discover no hint of bitterness, just gorgeous, luxurious, serious chocolate. The taste and texture is divine and we would highly recommend. Even the packaging was delightful, making them perfect for gifting. I baked the most decadent chocolate brownie and can honestly say it was out of this world. I look forward to trying more from Rococo's extensive range. The quality is fantastic.
