the Tech I spoke to did not understand what I was asking, nor did he know the answers the problem. Since swapping to the new Reckon payroll it has been nothing but trouble and incorrectly set up.

I have used QuickBooks for over 20 years, I find it a perfect fit to run my business, invoice clients, collect payments, banking & accounting. a complete package. As a sole trader I don't need constant updates so the old version did get old, the new version is much the same as the old. A few improvements could be useful. 1) Editing the spell correction list 2) short cut double click on 'edit email" in the to be emailed list as with earlier versions 3) The ability to click through to do a second bank reconciliation 4] After paying bills it asks you to enter a cheque number or name, the ability to (") down the list as in an earlier version for repetitive titles such as BPAY or EFTPOS

I was very happy with the service and assistance I received this morning from Sameer and I could not have hoped for better help. The issue I have with Reckon and I have mentioned this many times is the fact that I use Reckon 4 times each year to reconcile the bank statement for BAS for our accountant. However, I still pay $850 per year for this service. I have been with Reckon for more than 20 years and our practice was once a busy practice with several staff and several medical practitioners. But my husband is now a retired GP who does just a few locums for colleagues each year. We have no staff and no other practitioners on staff. It is therefore a very expensive exercise to pay that amount which really amounts to in excess of $200 each time I do our BAS and that is unjust and unfair.
