So sad to see the officials from the Chairman down are running the organisation simply to benefit their own left-wing ideological political beliefs and Wokeness rather than looking after country houses and estates that we the public and members (former members before we cancelled our membership in our case) believed they were there to do. Absolutely disgusted and horrified. Sack the management team and remove the left wing politics and we might return. Thank you NOT you Morons.

I used to love the National Trust. My Parents were life members. Amazing historical assets built up over years. Fantastic gardens. A network of volunteers who swear by the enjoyment they get for helping NT. But now it's been taken over by wokeness. A management who subscribes to a very narrow view of what's important in the National Trust. A fundamental Political view - 'We need to change your way of thinking'. 'You should be asked to feel guilty about these things we've identified in the past'. Well most of us know bad things happened in the past. We don't this narrow view rammend down our throat constantly by strident self righteous young graduates. I wrote to the DG and got a brush-off letter from a member of her team about my concerns. How did this happen? How can a political group take over the management of such a vital national institution? If someone sets up a lobby to remove the current management I'll join it. And in the meantime how many organisations refuse to give a refund for 10 months remaining membership when you want to leave? Not good faith.

There should be an alternative ZERO star box for PATHETIC so people like me can register our displeasure with NT. The ONE star minimum grossly overestimates the public feeling, Ms McGrady and Ms Fowler are just losing the plot and promoting their own standpoints - they should be neutral. How has this great institution fallen to Wokeness? I am out and will not be back until common sense prevails. Any hope for the AGM?

Not able to get a refund on remaining unuseable subscription. Mass redundancies among staff and the totally inappropriate use of our money and children to further Corrine Fowler's political agenda. It will be interesting to see whether parents of exploited children seek legal redress and compensation. We will not be renewing our membership!

Like many others here, I'm appalled at the inability to cancel my membership. I had signed on for an annual membership autumn 2019. Early spring 2020 I looked into canceling, but could not do so on the website- in fact, website says to use "live chat" to cancel, but chat feature is unavailable every time I check. Lines were busy to call, and email listed implored people to only use it for urgent matters. After a few times of checking the website to see if the chat feature was back I completely forgot about it until I recently noticed it's still coming out of my bank account- three or so months after the year I signed up for. I am disgusted to find that I was automatically renewed for another year long subscription without my express authorization to do so, and am locked into the full term. Reaching out to the company I am told that I was mailed new cards and information about my membership (never did see those, nor is there any place on the website for me to keep my address updated). I received a stupid amount of marketing emails the past year, all whilst we can't go to closed NT sites- but they couldn't email me to ask for a renewal? I wasn't too bothered to keep paying through my full year even during a pandemic as I felt it was for a good cause, but now I will be avoiding visiting their sites in the future as well.

I wish to suggest that if the National Trust wants to increase membership it would be a very big attraction if an individual membership was priced to include a guest. Not everyone is married, not everyone lives with their partner "under the same roof", this is a very out of date and discriminatory concept. But everybody likes to walk with a friend and will inevitably spend money in the cafe and shop when having a "sociable" visit. Please consider this. Every other institution Kew, Nat Gallery, The Tate, RHS all have this as one of their price options.

I'm rather concerned about your views on the breeding of birds for annual shoots, I have lived in Notts country side for all of my life (I am 83) & witnessed many changes, I feel that the NT is going in the wrong direction. I have seen feeding stations for the game birds which attracts other wild life, I have seen fields planted with sun flower & other wild flower seeds which attracted about 200 + small birds inc, buntings, linnets, goldfinches,& once a snow bunting. at post code No' Ng 23 without these facilities there wouldn't be the numbers I have seen for at least 3 years in early 2020s I have since moved & not able to visit the area again. On another point I have recently read where a certain Mr Chris. Packham as decided to become a vegan which in it's self is ok, but I'm a bit concerned about his influance on your organisation [his views on fox hunting] I have witnessed at first hand the damage that they do, My father had a lot of hens & supplied about 250 dozen eggs per week(free range in the 1940s fifties & sixties) a fox broke in to one of the sheds & killed about 50 laying hens so you Know at first hand what thDamage they do & without the feeding stations for tGame birds. Perhaps Mr Packham would all fields tto be used for growing crops for vegies,It's nearly impossible to grow enough food to feed the world on veg alone. Yours & other organisations should be careful who your bedfellows are, I can't say I'm going to cancel my subs because at my age it isn't going to make a lot of difference Malcolm

Infiltrated by political activists. Cancelled subscription after many years but they demanded another 10 months payments. I’m all in favour of telling the truth about our past and certainly a believer in racial and social equality but I joined the NT to give money to Charity and look after old property. I didn’t give them money to start political projects run by a ‘steering group’ of SECRET members who therefore cannot be scrutinised. Now my money has been diverted to a political agenda whilst the genuine supporters and visitors who provided the main earnings have been driven away and depicted as ignorant racists hypocritically enjoying the profits of our evil ancestors. We’d better stop going then. There are NT advisors in practically every room of each house and plenty of signs that could be used to tell the true history of each building so no need to send political broadcasts via email and stir up controversy in the media. When I wrote that they were entering into politics they replied in writing first denying that and then immediately citing Black Lives Matter. I support BLM but I don’t confuse them with a property charity. NT seem confused about their function. I don’t see any political banners from them explaining how they made their staff redundant whilst they could have been furloughed. I’ll miss all the beautiful places that we visited but I’m happier not contributing to what is now a political organisation using charitable funds.

Still waiting for order for one item placed on 08/12/20. This was meant to be a Christmas present. I had to go and by something else last minute. Spoke to customer service who assured me dispatched but yodel shows as still waiting to receive the parcel. Customer service were meant to ring me back next day but needless to say they didn’t. Ignored my e mail too. I know Covid is making things difficult but this is unacceptable.

Go woke, go broke. I will never join or visit a National Trust site while this ridiculously woke behaviour continues.
