I’ve been holding off on this review as I don’t really like leaving bad reviews but seeing as I’ve received multiple emails asking for my opinion, I’ll give it. I’ll start with the good. Britelite will give you the best price and offer you a free upgrade for either the triple glazed windows or modern flush windows. The finance options are good and initial paperwork etc is very quick. However, that is where the efficiency will stop. I was booked in once - so I cleared my work schedule to be in the house. This was pushed back two weeks so I cleared my schedule again. The fitters turned up and tore my windows out to find the surveyor had made an error and the sills needed to be remade. A new date was made and I cleared my schedule again - this date was then pushed back by a week. When they finally came back, the sills were correct but it turned out the surveyor had kept quiet about the fact that he’d also measured the windows wrong. The fitters did their best at the surveyor’s direction but he told them to remove the original lintel (which he’d specifically told me they don’t remove anymore for safety reasons) an lo and behold our original bay began to fall down. The surveyor STILL told the fitter to carry on but I had to put my foot down and demand they stop working and come back when the windows were the correct size. All told, we slept in a room with a temporary fix - which involved breezes and even rain water coming in - for around six weeks. The windows eventually fitted are very nice and were fitted at a good price. I should say the fitters were all great - especially Geoff and Kyle who eventually finished the job and made good all the cracks and damage from the previous errors. Kevin in the office, to his credit, was very communicative and very apologetic but I can’t say a good word about the surveyor who basically tried to cover his backside by directing the unsuspecting fitters to wreck our house. I get that errors happen but we almost lost a number of original features in our house to this process and will now have to pay someone to completely replaster and redecorate our bedroom and there’s been no acknowledgement of this or attempt to compensate by Britelite, which I think is the least they should do. Again, I understand there may be some making good to do after a job like this but we’ve been left needing to fully redecorate which is not something we were planning or had budgeted for. Finally - the job was finished a week before we went on holiday. I begged them to ensure scaffolding was gone before we went away as it’s not particularly secure to have a climbing frame on the side of your house while you’re away. That was three weeks ago and I’m still getting word from our cat sitter that the scaffolding is still up. So, in summary, if you want a good price and, eventually, a good job done - go with Britelite. However, be prepared to potentially put up with them being in your lives and causing you stress for at least six weeks and potentially months on end. However, if you want someone who relies on your good word, it’s probably best to go with a local company and pay a bit more.

Still waiting for it to be completed. Ask me again when all snagging is completed and brickwork repaired - I'm hoping it doesn't rain hard before then.

Great experience with Britelite, from quotation to installation and aftercare. Geoff and Kyle did a fantastic installation last weekend, after problems with the original installation resourcing. They worked flat out on Saturday and Sunday to complete the installation. Very friendly and helpful I’d recommend them anytime, thank you.

Dealing with Britelite from initial enquiry, thru surveyor, to final installation was perfection (a word not often used these days). Every section of the installation was advised & dated up front. Any necessary alterations advised & agreed immediately. Each team for different aspects of the structure were timely,friendly & totally professional, & cleaned & tidied upon departure. I do not have one single 'niggle' about any part of the work undertaken, nor the teams involved. Replacement of an old lead flat roof between the original and extended house, with skylight replaced also. Adam and Paul did a great job on the installation. They were personable, professional and operated in a clean and organised fashion. All contact with the company was efficient and friendly. Thank you Britelite.
