Absolutely the WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!! I walked in with a 8K tax liability & guess what? I ended up paying 16K!!!!!!!! Why?? Because nobody explained to me that while it took about 1 1/2 to 2 years for my issue to be resolved, interest and penalties were piling up, add to that Taxrise has to be paid FIRST for their services, so I had to take out a loan for 23% interest, that was approx. $4200. SO I LOST ON THIS ONE BIGTIME!!!! $8K to start, $4K in interest & penalties, then another $4.5K for their “fee”!! I absolutely take full responsibility for my stupidity and not researching them better. I believed the online advertising which is an ABSOLUTE MISTAKE! Never believe the carnival barker folks! So yes, I learned a lesson: 1. Never trust TaxRise! 2. Never allow myself to get into any tax issues with the IRS, it’s better to deal with them directly than go through one of these tax services. 3. Research, Research, RESEARCH!!! They never tell you the full story of what’s gonna happen and how it’s gonna cost you in the long term!! I fell for the lie that said, “this woman owed $10Kin tax liability, and she walked away only paying $100”!! Because I was somewhat desperate, I bought the deceit. Every chance I get to warn people about Taxrise, I’m going to do it! Have a better day!
