I returned the phone call to Taxrise and the representative was very helpful and pleasant. He was able to tell me the nature of the calls from Taxrise that I missed. My only request is that Taxrise would leave a voice mail message regarding the nature of their calls, in the future. Thank you!

My recent representative was helpful in that she indicated that two other people will call back to address my concerns. I have had poor to no service in the 8 months that I have had to pay Tax Rise a large payment for their services instead of paying my actual taxes. I should be eligible for a hardship but have no faith that this will be the outcome. We can barely buy food.

They are a legitimate company, eventually always got back to me, lowered my tax bill by about $2000, and got a payment plan for me with the IRS. BUT on my very first phone call with them I revealed all my financial details and said I wasn't interested in a payment plan, only if I could be eligible for getting CNC (Currently Non Collectible) status, which I was assured I'd be eligible for. They collected an immediate payment of over $2000 to get started. Many months later (of repeating myself, repeatedly uploading my info to new agents, and constantly reaching out to get some kind of idea of where I was in the process and the general timeline) I finally got resolution and it was...a payment plan. So overall I spent a lot of time only to end up paying the same amount (just $2000 of it went to them instead of the IRS). The only benefit is I now have longer to pay it.

Revision- I called taxrise when I was not happy with the results and they are renegotiating with IRS. I will update hopefully with a higher rating once I receive the new offer. Glad they are working to fix this! (Original review)Horrible - Originally had $25,000 in IRS debt. Was told that they negotiated with the IRS and it would be around $10,000. I paid $6200 for their legal counsel for "protection" as they called it. Two months later, I receive a call stating my resolution is ready for review. I still owe the entire $25000 and IRS wants $450 per month starting now. So, I am out the $6200 for their lawyer and still owe the entire amount. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!!!
