Zero communication until I inquired…

Zero communication until I inquired after the 6-8 weeks estimate. When I did inquire they gave me an estimate of 5+ weeks. Not very good for outdoor furniture as the summer will be coming to an end. Update. Nothing from them. The lack of professionalism is staggering

Trying to be fair

I’m writing this to leave as fair a review as possible for people looking to buy from Moda. Firstly we did not end up getting the furniture so I can’t comment on the quality, this is based purely on customer service. We have a showroom near us so visited on a Sunday (Chelmsford) as my husband was aware of them having a good reputation. Friendly staff, made us drinks. Our little boy enjoyed playing with the pretend BBQ food and there was an old style arcade games machine. Lots of nice furniture sets in store but mostly too big for what we needed although the ones we sat on were comfy. Ordered a smaller set in the sale online a few weeks later with delivery showing as 2-4 weeks. Received a confirmation email straight away. 4 weeks later after not hearing anything I checked their reviews again as I’d seen a grumpy face on a Facebook advert which led me to read some unhappy comments from customers. There was many low star reviews due to long waits, delivery dates being given then changed, missing items, poor quality items and lack of communication from Moda. Because of this I got worried (especially as we had lost hundreds of pounds less than a year ago due to a company going bust - not Moda). I contacted Moda by email and got a reply the same day saying one item was out of stock for another 6 weeks. Then I would be contacted within 78 hours to arrange delivery. I replied saying I wasn’t happy that I had only been told this when I’d contacted them and that they could have offered to deliver the rest and 6 weeks was too long to wait. Whilst waiting for a reply my husband went to the show room the next day and queried it. He said the staff were very helpful but he was told it was a different item that was out of stock. He asked for a refund but they couldn’t do it in store as it was an online purchase. The next day I got another email back (from Sana) who agreed with the showroom staff about what item they were still waiting for but gave a much sooner expected date, but would refund if I’d prefer that. I replied saying it was a different item to what the previous email had stated and I just wasn’t confident in them and would like to go ahead with the refund. This was on a Sunday. A few days later I emailed Sana for an update and my husband also called customer services who told him someone would call me to arrange the refund. Sana also replied to me saying she’d given the details to the finance department and someone would call me ASAP. Sukey from head office phoned me that afternoon and apologised for the miscommunication and delays. He was very friendly and professional and updated me with the situation saying they’d have it all in stock in a few days but said he was happy to cancel the order if that’s what I wanted. I said I wanted it cancelled as I just wasn’t feeling confident about it. Sukey said that was fine and he’d process the refund and I could contact him directly if I had any problems or if I wanted to purchase anything in the future and he’d arrange a discount. I spoke to Sukey Thursday afternoon and the refund was pending on my credit card straight after. When I looked at my credit card statement early Tuesday morning it had cleared. So to sum up yes there is miscommunication and confusion going on with stock and delivery dates. In Moda’s defence though we had no trouble getting hold of them by phone (answered straight away both times) and by email- some replies happened within half an hour. Sana and Sukey were both very helpful, friendly, apologetic and efficient. Our refund was cleared 6 working days after my first email to customer services which I think is pretty good. I haven’t ruled Moda out completely in the future but I would check recent reviews at the time and be more aware of time scales. It seems the norm that this time of year it’s hard to get hold of patio furniture, for lots of companies not just Moda.

Over Promise Under Deliver - Be Ware!!!

After cancelling an order due to a delivery being promised within 3 weeks when they couldn't deliver for 7 weeks. I was promised a refund twice by a Manager which has never materialised, I've then had to raise a dispute with my credit card company and Moda have now said I'll have to wait the 60 days to get a credit through that process. Horrendous customer service!!!!

It's such a shame …

It's such a shame that Moda's customer service is SO bad. The actual furniture WHEN you get it is very good quality but the delivery promise time is a lie and trying to get hold of anyone on the phone to get a delivery date is impossible with wait times up to 2 hours. When purchasing from Moda the service is good and the staff very helpful but after you've parted with the cash you deal with a call centre in India and it becomes an absolute shambles. I've never given a bad review before but I'm just gobsmacked at how dreadful the communication and customer service has been with Moda, especially after parting with so much money.

After making an order

After making an order, eventually it turned up many weeks later than it should, one of the items wrong/missing. No email back, spent over two hours on hold to get cut off by your representative. What i have recived looks good, but your customer service is terrible.

SCAM, do not order!

Ordered a pot from them, waited for 2 weeks, they would take ages to reply to me and first they said it is on the way, in a few days they said it will come in 2 months, I requested them to cancel my order and give me refund - still did not receive it. Worse customer service and waiting time I have experienced online.

Delayed order and missing parts

I placed an order with Moda Furnishings at the end of May with a delivery time of 3 to 10 working days. It finally arrived 21 working days later and despite trying to communicate through various means it was useless as they do not seem to have a customer service department. I was on hold for over 90 mins and got cut off 3 times. When my furniture finally arrived there was a part missing. Trying to get through again to anyone in customer service is beyond ridiculous. I would encourage anyone looking to buy from this company to AVOID at all costs. There customer service ( I use that term loosely) leaves a lot to be desired. I have now been left with no option to take up the matter with my bank and the ombudsman for a refund.
