This was my first and won't be my last time buying from Hughes. Great service and patience dealing with @Nick Loose, who listened to my needs and guided me to the tumble dryer we have bought. Explained so much which led to my choice, thank you. Highly likely to buy our washing machine from here too, which won't be long by the sounds of the machine itself. Hughes offered a great price with delivery and kept me well informed. On fully opening my delivered package, a slight amount of damage was noticed - duly photographed and informed, Hughes on line sales team made a partial refund offer which I accepted. Everything from start to finish was 100% and 5 stars all round.

ArrowXL delivery let you down
I have no idea why D&G Insurance use this company to replace white goods under their policies as we have had a nightmare of an experience. Washer/dryer was to be replaced under insurance scheme. Delivery all booked in. First machine delivered - 2 men from ArrowXL did not have a clue on how to install it but it did not matter as the machine was damaged and had to go back. Next day another machine was delivered and with my help they managed to install the machine but left the plumbing in a mess so not only could the machine not be used, neither could the kitchen sink. Had to get a plumber out to sort out the mess they had left and we all know how expensive plumbers are. When plumbing was sorted we found that the dryer part of the washer/dryer did not work so Hughes said they wanted an engineer to phone me - they thought I was too stupid to use the machine and needed a man to talk me through the instructions. Waited in all afternoon and no one phoned me. Phoned Hughes the next day and they said they would replace the machine. So a third machine was delivered yesterday and the two men wanted a form signed before they entered the property to say they had not caused any damage. This is the form they should get you to sign at the end of the visit not at the start so the form was not signed. They then said they did not know how to install the machine without taking part of the kitchen cupboard out despite previous machines being installed without the need to do this. As they did not know how to install the machine they took it back with them. I phoned D&G and they told me that Hughes have recorded there was an altercation at the property -this is a lie. I pointed out that there is a sign on the property advising there is CCTV installed and that there is a video of the visit which shows no altercation so I do not know why Hughes are lying about the visit. I also do not know why they keep sending incompetent people who have not got a clue as to how to install the machine. I have complained to D&G and asked why do they use this company who appear unable to supply a working machine and who use a delivery and installation company that has people who are unable to install a simple washer/dryer. To date we have taken 4 full days off work to have this one machine delivered and installed and as of now are still without the machine. We will have to take another day off for delivery - that will mean a full weeks annual leave will have been used for the delivery of one washer/dryer. Had D&G used Currys it would have been a 2 hour time slot for delivery and installation. D&G said Hughes would phone this morning but they haven't. Anyone thinking of insuring a product with D&G - save your money as we have been without a washer/dryer now for well over a month. Anyone thinking of getting a product from Hughes - maybe think again....will it be damaged or not working and will the installation people actually be able to install it?

Ordered a turntable through Hughes
Ordered a turntable through Hughes, it arrived as planned but the needle was damaged. I contacted them and have received nothing but amazing customer service. Would definatley use them again and would not hesitate in recommending them to anyone.
