Very happy - but we bought 3 times too more than needed.
The selection, product, delivery and service were all great! However, we should have called though before purchasing to make sure our fireplace was compatible and should not have gone with the recommendation on several sights regarding how much to buy for our size fireplace. We ended up purchasing 32 lbs but can't use more than 5 lbs for our brand fireplace. Ended up being a very expensive 5 lbs!

Seems to me the most important information to provide a customer is the purchase confirmation and shipping status of the customer's order. I've placed two orders for nearly $2K each. In both cases, I never received any email from starfiredirect with a confirmation of my order, shipping status, tracking numbers, or anything of the sort. There's an overly complicated customer portal that I'm asked to log into, which is a hassle. It contains tons of not very useful information and features, but no shipping status or tracking information. I don't need a "dashboard" (which they provide in their customer portal), I just want to know where the stuff is that I ordered - did it ship, and if so, tracking info. Keep it simple.
