First, corresponding with Jules is a great pleasure. He likes building audio electronics like me. In fact we have built some of the same kits: The WHAMMY and the Elekit 300B amplifier. The build quality of your speakers is of the highest order. I've been trying the 1723 Towers with different amplifiers I've built. I've run them with Bob Latino's M125 tubed monoblocks and with a First Watt F4 power buffer clone and they sound dynamic, punchy and crystal clear. A lot of the music I listen to was recorded in the sixties and seventies. The 1723 speakers reproduce this music very well. In other words you don't need to be playing a recently recorded audiophile recording for it to sound great. I'm trying to fight the urge to buy a pair of 1961 towers for a smaller room. I generally don't like doubling up speakers from one manufacturer, but your blow out price is very attractive. I have speakers from KEF, Tannoy, Focal, Genelec and Diapason. The Arendal can compete with any and all of them.
